This was a hit at a recent gathering with family. Everyone was asking what this was and where I got it. Will definitely buy again.

Very tasty salsa

Best salsa ever! Reminds me of the fresh garden salsa we made as kids out of the garden. Just the right amount of spicy kick. A slight sweet taste in the tomatoes. It’s not thick, more like a restaurant style salsa, so good!

Mateo's is the best tasting, jarred salsa out there. The only potential downside (my opinion) is that since it has no preservatives (apparently) I am hesitant to keep it around for long periods once opened, even in the fridge. I may just be paranoid on that point, but I do know that I have thrown out half-consumed jars than have been in the fridge for longer than I am comfortable. Cannot say that I specifically tested if they were still good or not. Talking like, leaving an opened jar in the fridge for more than a week or so. So, in short, it's the best tasting salsa, but my recommendation would be to consume the whole jar within a few days of it being opened.

Second time buying this two pack. It is a wonderful deal! We buy one smaller jar for the price of one of these jars in the regular big box store for about $5 or so. Getting two larger jars is a great deal! Flavor is great, can be spicy if you don’t like spicy salsa.

We spent 20 years in New Mexico and have tried LOTS of salsa, but this is our absolute favorite! Like most salsas, it has some vinegar, which keeps it good for quite a while in the fridge (like a month if you don't get other food in it). The price is MUCH better than at a regular store!
