Horrible customer service

I bought this and everything was fine until I didn’t sign up for the payed customer service. Then it says no cartridge. Yes, the tape is off and it’s in properly. I spent more of my time than this thing is worth. The cartridges were old and the tape was dry and hard to get off. I didn’t sign up for the delivery service for ink.

HP Deskjet plus 4132

I don't understand how this printer continues to try to finagle money out of you when you in fact pay for Wi-Fi. It's asking me to pay for services that I pay for it doesn't allow me to connect it to my Wi-Fi so they're asking me to pay for services so that I can connect the printer that I purchased to my Wi-Fi what kind of freaking sense does that make if I could give it a zero rating I would. I know I got it on sale but still in all I shouldn't have to pay money for them to monitor my ink and if I'm not using enough ink they're forcing me to print out info so that my ink is being used I feel like I'm being swindled and scandal

DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!

I bought this about a month ago and as SO SORRY that I did. THIS WILL NOT PRINT WITHOUT GETTING UP, WALKING OVER AND PUSHING THE PRINT BUTTON EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO PRINT! (Difficult for a handicapped person). The first thing the tech person on the phone said was that the printer won’t work properly unless you sign up for their ink subscription. This topic repeatedly was brought up by the tech person on the phone as we were reregistering the printer and correctly in the system. The correction lasted about five days and then reoccured the day after I told the tech person on a callback that the problem had been corrected. Then 2 days later I received an email from HP stating that they had lost connection with my printer and “ Staying connected is required to use the service and ensures you won’t lose your ability to print with the subscription catridges you already have.) P.S. I have over 30 years of experience in education in computers, technology, graphic design, etc. THE PROBLEMS I AM HAVING ARE ALL DUE TO THEIR INK SUBSCRIPTION REQUIREMENT. (Which HP states isn’t a requirement which you know…wink, wink, nudge, nudge it really is. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!

Save your money dont buy

I bought this printer to print any document. At first, everything went well so thought its a good deal for a printer. After 2 months all it does is print blurry or very light black-and-white documents. I tried to print the passport good heavens it is oversaturated. I have reset and checked all the necessary steps (changed the ink too) to resolve it but no luck. Could not return the printer as I am out of the return period. Please save your money and get a better printer.

Zero Stars if that were an option!!

I am a teacher and have used printers for a zillion years. This printer has to be the worst printer I have ever used. The loading of the paper is such a design flaw. It holds very little paper and it gets stuck more than it prints. It doesn't do dual sided copies and doing it by hand is tedious. The quality of the print is fine and I love instant ink but the design flaws are far too much to overcome.

Terrible design

If all you do is simple copy or print it does a decent job. I've been trying for an hour and a half to enlarge a photo. Youtube, HP troubleshoot chat, tried to download the manual...App won't install on my phone. Ready to throw it out the window! Had HP printers for decades...always loved their ease of use...ARRRGGGHHH!

Needlessly Complicated, Not Worth the Time

After using for one year, it now has problems printing over wi-fi. I have spent hours trying to get it to work and now can only get it to print using the HP app on my phone. Printing should not be this complicated and time consuming. I have always used HP printers but will look for another brand next time. It will also not allow you to print if you are over your page limit.

No two-sided printing

The printer works great, easy to set up and use. Unfortunately I had it set up and boxes recycled before I realized that this printer does not print front-and-back. So if that is a feature that's desired, skip this printer and purchase something else.

In my opinion, NO!

In my opinion, it is a cheaply made product to begin with. In addition, the "big brother" way one must sign up and be forced into their "free" ink subscription is beyond bizarre. The entire process with this copier is extremely intrusive regarding personal information and when I declined to be part of the six-month ink subscription they notified me the copier/printer would cease to function whether there was ink left in the initial cartridges or not. This item is useless to me and I am not sure at this point I can return it because it sat in the box for some time after I purchased it from Sam's. I bought it mainly for the copier function for tax time. If Sam's won't take it back I will have to pay and have it recycled as electronic waste.

Horrible! HP app and subscription is garbage!

All HP cares about is selling you an HP+ subscription and getting you to download their app so they can advertise to you and try and sell you more useless ink/toner subscriptions. Read the fine print on this and buyer beware! This thing doesn't even have an LCD display and everything is supposed to be done via an app. Total junk product!
