My old, broken HP printer would only feed paper 1 sheet at a time. This 4158 is a great replacement. I already had an Instant Ink subscription with my old printer and HP made transferring the sub to the new printer really easy. They even apply the 6-months free offer to existing customers. I've had no issues and an enjoying the faster speed, better looks, and multi-page scanning.

I am so glad I purchased this printer. It was so easy to setup and it prints a sheet 3 times faster than my old wireless printer. If your looking for a multi-function printer look no further.

Very good purchase; Instant ink free for 6 months amazing, not a scam; printing is tougher due to remote and online; faxing is really good. I have noticed that the printer goes to sleep quickly. To print effectively, you must make sure the printer is on and connects. At times, the printing occurs after the initial request. Another thing I've learmed is to save as a pdf file if printing is not available then print later.

Not as good as advertised; no six months free ink, read fine words in the paper that came with it, it said offer subject to change in Oct 30, 2021. So you can only get one month free. Read other review, others had the same problem. Also difficult to setup, had to contact HP tech and they helped setup remotely. And they also can’t fix the 6 months free ink issue either. Took hours to setup. The color print quality is not good either. Lucky I bought it just for normal school projects. Color print quality is bad , not good for photo or better quality printing if that’s what you expected.

I am an average computer user, not extremely tech savvy, but I used my EPSON All-in-One printer for years before I had to replace it. So it was a big change to go to the smaller HP printer. I finally got it set up, it's working. But I did not get a user's manual with it...and though I tried ordering one online, it is too difficult to navigate to get one! I couldn't reach a live person to ask a simple question. Everything has to be done in an App, and to me, that is not very user friendly as I don't understand much of the terminology. I am quite frustrated.

This printer was such a disaster. You can't log in to your HP account to register the thing because it keeps looping back to the log in screen. I looked for an assist on Google and it seems this is a common problem for many people. It printed the test page, but wouldn't print anything i tried to print from my computer wirelessly. There is no customer service per se, because you have to log in to your HP account to access help. I'm not doing that dance again. I returned the printer. That was the easiest part of the experience.

Poor print quality. There is a bit of a blur to the print. It is also extremely slow. Each page seems to take forever to print. When inserting the ink cartridges, I had to physically tug the print head out of the side of the machine. Typically when you open the door to that area the ink head slides to the center so you can insert or remove the ink cartridges. Not with this printer. That was the first sign of a poor quality printer. You get what you pay for. This is a relatively cheap printer at $90. Spend another $100 and get a better printer. This is the second HP printer I've had in the last 3 months. Not satisfied with either. I'll try a different brand next time.

The HP support tech after 50 minutes of remote controlling my laptop couldn't get it to work. It's an inexpensive $100 all-in-one. It should be plug and play. Against my better judgement I thought I'd give HP 1 last try and they failed.

You cannot just put something into print it. You cannot just put some thing in the printer to fax it. You have to do mobile fax you have to download everything on your computer in order to print it or to fax it. I will not own a wireless printer again it’s totally aggravating to use. I am returning it.
