Amazing theater sound

True Atmos

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In a small room this system is truly a monster. Surround sound bounces off the wall and ceiling just as Atmos does. It's truly an experience only Samsung can deliver.

The product is overall great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound bar is overall great but I have an issue with the subwoofer cutting in and out. I have tried the trouble shooting suggestions to no avail. Next step is calling the customer hot line

Hello Willyj, Thank you for sharing your review of the HW-Q990D Soundbar. We value your feedback and will share it with our teams. First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in. If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset. The maximum transmission distance of the main unit’s wireless signal is about 32.8 ft but may vary depending on your operating environment. If a steel-concrete or metallic wall is between the main unit and the wireless subwoofer, the system may not operate at all because the wireless signal cannot penetrate metal. If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST (Ask for Soundbars), 7 days a week. Returned, too long

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound bar was too long for my setup. It's stuck out wider than the tv. Ended up returning this and decided to go with bookshelf speakers and a standard receiver.

Plug and play

Great I think

Do not regret

Good system. However I wish I had more control of volume levels on the satellites and woofer to adjust to my room. Also more eq settings in the app. As an ex sound engineer there is one frequency I’d like to reduce
