With its 11.1.4 channel setup and Dolby Atmos support, the audio truly surrounds you. The wireless rear speakers and subwoofer deliver booming bass and crisp highs, creating a real cinematic feel. Purchased this soundbar after going through a lot of reviews It was rated in the top 1-3 by most reviews. I already own a Samsung tv and I wanted a soundbar that supports Atoms and DTS. I went to the store to listen to it and I was really impressed by the quality. It also has the advantage of syncing with the tv flawlessly and uses Q-Symphony to further enhance the theatre experience. Really recommend it while still in stock. A newer version is also available with a different type of subwoofer, this 2024 version was a steel at sale price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Samsung TV and the Samsung soundbar because I wanted the Q symphony sound using both the TV speakers, the soundbar, wireless base, and wireless surround sound speakers. Really like the set up, minimal wires, and I think great sound. The only issue I am having is that it somehow comes un-synced with each other even though Im using an HDMI E-ARC cable to connect the devices for a "seamless integration". My wife could care less about surround or Dolby Atmos- so if I spend 3-5 minutes to try to reprogram our TV and the soundbar before we watch a show it frustrates her which frustrates me. I wanted to turn the TV and soundbar on with one remote and have it "actively" adjust the sound system for an optimal experience, When it works its great, when it doesnt I sometimes watch shows with just the TV speakers because I dont want to spend the 3-5 minutes (as mentioned above) setting it all up again while wife is patiently waiting. I have seen this complaint on just about every TV/Soundbar forum I have found while trying to find the "fix". Sounds like there isnt one. Even if you download the newest software updates as of July 2025. Anyway, it would really be great if Samsung fixed this for us all. I bought this system (TV/Soundbar) to last about 6 years which is typically how long we use a system. This replaced a 4k TV and an 8 speaker, several thousand dollar system that sounded great, vibrated the house (if you wanted it to), had wires going everywhere. Anyway Help!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] its a great product but the rear channels are lacking in the surrounding sound mode. they do great if set up for music as the volume matches well, but in surround sound mode they are a little to quiet at times. i use this product for a surround sound mainly while watching tv. occasionally gaming with it and listening to music for parties. it performs very well in general

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to replace and simplify an aging 5.1 surround system. I watch mostly dramas, movies and occasionally game. The Q990D is well built, looks premium and was very simple to setup. The overall sound quality is good, but I would have liked a slightly punchier subwoofer. I believe the surround effects are decent, but since I only have one wall on the right and open room on the left, the simulation/immersion is not as effective. The mobile app is adequate, but sometimes it would have been nice to have an on screen display of the units settings.

But what I truly admire is its features . Voice clarity is such a god send. Important dialogue is clear at all times . No more playing with the volume or going back just because you didn’t hear something . The action is strong and powerful while the kids and dialogue are balanced and clear.

Samsung continues to provide great products that give great sound at an affordable price. The sound is great for surround and voices are crystal clear. The q symphony was auto detected and I was up and going in minutes.
