I happy to confirm that it definitely is! The sound is spectacular. The subwoofer shakes my house even on the low settings. Q symphony works just as intended. It is quite loud, so if you are in the communal living such as apartments or condominiums, beware as it will wake up your neighbors 😂

Q990C is a great sounding bar! As reviewers have repeatedly pointed out, Samsung's engineers provide an array of features that produce stellar sound out of the box. I don't understand, though, why Samsung doesn't make any effort to describe the various settings they provide - what they do, how to set them, what to expect. For instance, there appears to be two different settings that, based solely on their names, are related to voice. Even in the full product manual, there's barely more than acknowledgement that each setting exists. This is an odd tactic. For a bar as expensive as this, with as much engineering as has been devoted to it, one would think Samsung would provide enough guidance for us to adjust this product to its maximum potential in our own home. Please provide us with a "Tweaker's Manual"!

Typically the volume isn't set over 14, anything over 20 is like going to an actual movie theater. I got speaker stands for the rear speakers which helps fill the room with, as they sit just above head level.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an HW-N950 that started acting up, and we were always turning up the volume when we needed to hear voices, and then it would get so loud during the music, we'd have to turn it down, so it was time to upgrade. Let me tell you, Holy cow, it's well worth it! I have an older Samsung TV, so I can't use all the features, such as "spacefit sound" but can still take advantage of most features! The bass on this is impressive, I wound up waking up to the bass, (i sleep over the room the soundbar is in) from what my wife was watching, and the TV volume was only at 8 or 9. Even with the bass set to 0, and the woofer at -6, it still woke me up. I wound up tweaking it a bit more, and haven't been woken up since. I was playing around with the settings and there's a "sound grouping" option to make the sound clearer in any location, and to quote my wife, "I prefer the way it sounds in this mode, it reminds me of a movie theater." My wife isn't one who is into the newest technology, so hearing her say this, made me smile and know the investment was well worth it!

The elegant design blend and with furniture so well by itself it's piece of art. My next step is to buy the frame and the music frame.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Q990D is still the best soundboard solution out there, not only does it provide you with the best possible immersive experience with Atmos/DTS:X capabilities, but it looks great doing so. The design is unchanged from previous generation, but that's not a bad thing at all, it's a great looking soundboard and ascetically pleasing. Blends in very well with most if not all decors. It slots in under our 85 QLED utilizing the Q-Symphony mode. It engulfs the room with sound from all directions. Top middle sides and rear, it really draws you into the experience of being there when watching any content. Especially more so when Atmos enabled soundtrack is played back during a movie. There is not bad seat in the house, you can almost see the sounds you hear, which is a strange thing to explain, its just so good that you are lost in the movie. The rear speakers are loud, and really add that extra layer od depth. If paired with a Samsung TV you can also connect the soundbar wire free, no need for HDMI connection, you can utilize the WiFi connection to pair the TV very easily. I opted to use the e-Arc port but both sounded about the same, I was not able to tell the difference. One of the best features is the SmartThings integration, which allows full control and adjustments to the speakers and EQs. Also enable Smart Voice assurance and SmartThings hub. The sound modes pair very nicely with the set, the AVA really does make a difference with voices and dialog enhancement, you never miss a dialog. SpaceFit Pro really just dials in everything for you and ensures that you get the best sound possible. Overall you cannot go wrong with the Samsung Q990D as the king of Atmos Soundbars.
