We purchased another brand a few years ago for our living room tv and recently purchased this Samsung Q series sound system for our bedroom. We were pleasantly surprised at the depth and quality of the sound and this has quickly become our favorite room to watch tv in because of this Q series sound system. We absolutely love it!

Also, the space should have been stronger to feel the whole room, which is my biggest complaint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this set up for a few months now which replaced an older Samsung 2.1 soundbar & it's been nothing short of magical. Bass heavy songs really give you the boom you're looking for & it reverberates in your entire body. I have people come over just to feel it & I don't even crank the volume past 21 for them to have that same "oh wow" moment when I first experienced it. Q-symphony is pretty dope as well as I truly hear the difference with it on vs off. The surround sound experience is new for me, I'm used to hearing all sound coming from all speakers all the time, now I hear the subtle differences when a sound comes out of only the left or right rear speaker which really helps with immersion. I can't recommend this setup enough, if you can get it & have the space it's a no brainer!

Purchased it because I have Samsung OLED and it syncs with the TV speakers providing 11.1.4 sound and it does a great job. Have nothing but great things to say about the Q990D. Its sound quality and sync ability with the TV is the ONLY reason I purchased a second Samsung OLED (S95D 77"). All the ports on the Direct Connect box on my 1st TV stopped working so the DirectConnect is basically a very large power supply now. Would not have purchased new S95D but took a chance because the Q990D is just that good. Unfortunately, new S95D has failed two separate times leaving my TV dead each time. On the good side, the second TV keeps failing within its warranty! The 1st TV had the Connect Box ports fail shortly after the warranty ended. Note - I will not buy a third Samsung OLED no matter how much I like the Q990D.

I paired this soundbar with a Samsung 98” QLED, it is amazing, no need to go to the theater again! I read a lot of reviews on this soundbar before I purchased it. Quite a few mentioned that the bass from the sub was inadequate. To those of you that are not satisfied with your bass, relocate your sub to a corner of the room with the port facing one of the walls. You're welcome!

Dolby Atmos on the Q990D is insane — you really feel effects moving around and above you, especially with the rear speakers. Dialogue is crystal clear, bass is powerful, and everything from movies to PS5 gaming feels like a real theater experience. If you want true Atmos immersion, this is it.
