I purchased the generator in panic mode because we had no power at the house after a big storm, and my wife is on oxygen. I was very pleased with the design and construction of the generator. I am especially pleased with the dual fuel capability. This review is being written while my house is being powered by this generator. So far, the generator has been running for 2 days nonstop. I will recommend this generator to all who are interested.

The huge amount of reviews are real. Was reading instructions on how to program my remote and all I did was press start and it fired up. I have a utility trailer with ac, multiple lights, and outlets. Once completely full was able to operate all without a hiccup. I did notice a lag in the beginning due to just having enough full to play with it. Overall I am super satisfied with the product so far.

Grewired home at generator. Easy to assemble. Wired plug for my home double pole double slot transfer switch and tested generator. Worked great and powered all the wired circuits. Only complaint is it seems a little slow to start. Hopefully, an adjustment to a carb screw will fix that.

I have only ran this generator for an hour or so to make sure everything functioned correctly and it seems nice. I like the dual fuel feature and this line of generators were reasonably priced and I wanted to battery start so my wife could start it up easily if needed. I would have preferred this model to come with wheels, I almost bought the 9500w version because of this but didn't need such a large generator. The wheel kit was kind of expensive for what it is. I expect this generator to suit our needs (basically just need it to run a fridge, well, and sump during outages).

I live in upstate NY and the winters here are known to be brutal sometimes. In recent years we lost power few times and even though it did not last for weeks at a time like in other parts of the country it lasted long enough to make my house cold enough to make it impossible to tolerate. But that is a think of the past since I bought this Westinghouse generator. The price was great (even for my limited resources), it come well packaged with no damage, it took me only ten minutes to assemble it and it started with just three pulls of the cord even for the first time ever. Even the noise level was lower that I expected and I don't have to apologize to my neighbors when I run the unit for hours. Very happy with it so far.

I bought a wgen5300dfc on 7/1/24 and received it on 7/5/24. And on 7/19/24 it quit producing power and I’m not not happy at all. When the generator worked it was a good one and I enjoyed it. Well it is now 7/30/24 and I still haven’t heard back from Westinghouse on how they are going to fix it.

My generator, the first one I ever had, was installed on the day a major snowstorm was forcast. At 12 AM a tree fell down and knocked out the power, which left me with no heat. I was so surprised at how easy it was to roll the generator out of my garage, plug it in and use the remote start to get it started. I flipped the F switch up, which was set for my furnace and I was able to stay warm until the power was restored. I was also able to have some lights and my refrigerator on. Thank you for a great product.

I just received this yesterday, assembled and started the break-in process. More compact than I thought. Hardest part is adding the oil. The funnel was helpful but could be improved. Started easily, even with pull start. The electric start was major reason for purchase. My wife can easily set this up and start if I'm not available. Also much quieter than we thought too. So far, so good

Smaller than anticipated but that’s good in my opinion. Thrilled about the ability to use multiple energy sources if/when needed and the remote start function is awesome. I don’t plan on using much except for power outage back ups and hopefully those don’t arise much but if so I’ll be prepared

Received and opened the box yesterday. Followed instructions for the wheel install, etc. All very well detailed. Added oil and hooked up the propane. Paired the remote and pressed the button. Magic, she's running! As per suggestion did the ne hour run for break-in. Purred right along. Can't wait to get to the cabin!
