We bought this after loosing power for two days the week before Christmas. Good thing we did because we lost power for a short time Christmas morning and again Christmas night. We have only run it for around 5 hours so far on LP and it started right up and didn't miss a beat!

Received this generator the same day we had a 19-hour outage! Interesting timing. Easy to set up. Ran on propane. I used the manual pull to start it the first time. Only took 2 pulls to get it running. Very impressive. I am using it only to run my well-pump. When the pump kicked in, the generator RPM slowed a bit for about a second, but it ran flawlessly for an hour before normal power returned. Tomorrow I'll be testing the remote control. I don't plan on using gas.

This generator is well laid out and easy to access all connections and plug in receptacles. I like the fact it has a built in CO detector & indicator. Also, the dual fuel feature is a real plus. After purchasing a handle and wheel kit, moving the unit around was easy. I do believe this kit should have come with the unit though. I would have gladly paid extra to get this kit initially. I would have given it a 5 star rating if the wheel/handle kit had been included. Overall, I am pleased and believe this generator will serve our needs for many years to come.

Bought this the day before Beryl hit Texas. Easy to set up and use, powered a 14k BTU A/C unit and Fridge with icemaker, as well as some lights and phone charging. So grateful to have bought it when I did! Ran both Propane and Gasoline, and it worked great. Wish it was a little more powerful, so I could run the house on it.

I was running it during 2020 freeze in Houston , Texas and that kept my house warm and no issues with the pipes at all. Running it already for 4 years and run flawlessly . During Beryl was kind of hard to find gas and propane tanks and decided to upgrade to a 11500TFC new one just arrived yesterday. I never had issues with the 5300DF and hopefully will not have issues with the new one. The 5300DF run my whole house except of AC unit but bought a portable ac unit a window unit and used it during Beryl without any problems, 3 tv's running 2 refrigerators, central fan, all the plugs and lights. Overall extremely satisfied with it. Also 4 friends of mine bought the 5300DF after my recommendation and they have only good thoughts about it.

Just opened the box and it does need some diy work like fitting the wheels. It is extremely heavy but hopefully it easy to move once we fit the wheels. I like the fact it is dual fuel so should be reliable. I can’t comment much as we are waiting to use if hurricane idalia hits us.

Seems to function as promised despite obvious shipping damage. Bottom left front frame is bent in about one inch. Item was shipped in a thin cardboard box with absolutely NO PACKING! I would have returned the generator but it seems to run alright and I was afraid the replacement one might arrive with even worse damage. Who would think shipping a 147 lb. generator in one thin layer of cardboard is a good idea.

I purchased this as part of winter weather preparation. Looking for something that wasn’t too expensive but provided plenty of power for our needs. This is fantastic generator that fit our expectations. Hope we don’t have to use it during a storm but I know we can really on it if we do. Really like the dual fuel feature and large fuel storage. Have not tried the propane set up yet but so far it’s been really easy to use.

I bought this last month and it is not installed yet. But, it arrived very quickly and I have been reading all about it for months and I know I will be satisfied with the performance. Have it out of the box waiting for install and everything looks fine. Even the installer said I have bought the best. Will give another review after it's installed.

Bought this after a 3-day power outage, using a borrowed generator to run fans, freezer and refrigerators. Researched several brands and found this one to have everything needed at best value - electric start and dual fuel important to me. Very pleased with this purchase!
