Nice machine

I bought this to use for my boatlift where I cannot otherwise get electric. The remote start feature is awesome, as well as the ability to use either gasoline or propane to run the unit. I do understand that with propane I don't get as much power output, but I believe the generator still has enough power to operate my lift.

Good Quality

I purchased a duel fuel Westinghouse generator 5300KW after many comparisons of other manufacturers. I'm very happy I did. This particular model is very well constructed and serves my purpose as a backup for utility loss. This generator is propane or gas and I currently only use the propane option. It will power most of your household needs with no problem. Buy a Westinghouse, You'll also be happy you did!

So good for elderly

I got this for a gift and had not opened it because I did not need it. We lost power and unboxed and connected propane tank and it started on second crank. Love the electric start and the dual fuel. One of the best gifts I have ever received. Wish it had wheels because at 70 it is hard to move.

Perfect for my needs

We just had a 12-hour power outage thanks to hurricane Zeta and I'd finally had enough of hoping our fridge and chest freezer full of food wouldn't spoil every time we have a major outage so I shopped around and selected this Westinghouse. I especially like the dual fuel so I can get started with my spare propane tanks which never spoil. For long outages, I can go get gas or use the 20 gallons from my truck. It's not as large or heavy as I expected which is great. The fold-out handle makes it much easier to move than I thought it would be. Very easy to set up, filled with oil, connected battery, hooked up to LP tank and it fired right up. Much quieter than I expected as well, though certainly far from silent. I like all the options 120/240V, transfer switch ready, push-button start/stop, remote start/stop. I do NOT look forward to using it during the next power outage, but I do feel much better knowing I have a solid power source for when it does happen.

Generator starts easy

We just got our new generator and added the oil as per instructions. I connected it to a propane tank, pressed the start button and it started and ran perfectly. We will not be without power for several days again. Texas storms can be severe at times.

My 2nd Westinghouse Generator

My first Westinghouse generator/invertor (2200 watt) has served me well for over 5 years so upon deciding to add a larger unit I went with the 6500 watt dual fuel model. This is another great machine which arrived in perfect condition and was a breeze to assemble and put to work. Very happy with the Westinghouse brand.

GOOD START

The WGEN5300DF arrived late due to December rush and Covid issues. The unit arrived in great condition and the assembly was quick and easy. After 4-5 tugs the unit started with a propane fuel supply. The use of propane fuel was the reason we selected this generator. Now, no concerns with fuel quality when a tree comes down on a power line 5 to 6 months from now

great features

Overall pretty impressed with generator. It could be packaged better as it came with some cosmetic damage to the alternator cover from being smashed against the whee.l The plastic fuel cover for the propane was left off and cardboard was forced into the fuel inlet preventing it from running on propane . It took me a little bit to figure this out and then remove it.

Best Generator ever!

We bought this 10 months ago, but never really needed to use it until the power outages began this summer. It's a Dual fuel Generator, so I can use either gasoline or propane, and just using the gasoline - it powers my entire house! It even starts up with a remote control! How cool is that? During an outage, at night, some of my neighbors have candles lit in their rooms while I have my entire house lit up with regular lamps, my frig and freezer are just fine and I'm watching the Olympics on T.V. !

I bought this back In June 2023 and Im glad I did.I just got a chance too use it this month August, this generator is amazing and it is duel fuel or propane the cool thing about this generator is it has a remote control that you can stand inside while the generator is outside 20 feet from your house, it's suppose too be from your house and still use the remote too start the generator and it has a charger plug in too charge the battery.Iam so happy with my purchase and it works EXCELLENT.
