My first duel fuel generator

I bought this on a quick decision, I live in North Carolina and we had just been hit with Hurricane Helene. No water, no power, didn't know when we would be getting it back either. A friend bought a couple of them and brought them up, so I bought it! I used it for a week, I only ran gas, haven't had the opportunity to try the propane gas yet.It was easy to start and the directions were all pretty straight forward and it ran well for the most part. Two things happened, first the oil stick does not seat right when you close it all the time, and one time oil sprayed out everywhere. I have to be very careful and check the seating of it. second is the feet vibrate right off of it! I keep having to tighten the screws but then they came loose a day and half later. Also the screws have to go from the Botton which is really hard to do, so it's kinda frustrating. Other then that its been fine. Of course its brand new and Ive used it for less then a week, so its kinda hard to tell how will be a year from now. That seems like a better time to review?

Awesome! 2nd Unit I purchased!

So I purchased 2 identical units due to all of the features and convenience. I love the dual fuel option and plan to use propane primarily due to the "clean fuel" and not have to worry about the carburetor gumming up when not in use. Very pleased with these units.

Love it, love it, love it!

We received delivery at 2:42 this afternoon. After we checked that all the parts were included, my husband told me he wanted me to be very familiar with & comfortable using the generator. My husband handed me the instructions & asked me to assemble it. The instructions were very easy to understand. He stayed with me while I assembled it, gave me a hand when I needed a lift for the wheels. It was running like a dream by 4:30 that day. Like I said: Love it, love it, love it!

Easy to hook up and quiet

Bought this generator after getting through Hurricane Helene and having hurricane Milton right on her heels. This came in record time. It was easy to set up for this 72 year old senior and easy to start. This generator comes with a pull cord, remote start at the generator or a fob to start remotely. Very pleased that this runs on either propane or gas as it’s easier for me to hook up a propane tank than to lug gas and pour it in. I highly recommend this generator

Great generator for a moderate house

I needed a reliable generator for the winter months to cover the power outages and this one fit the bill. Great quality build, reasonably priced, and enough power output to run two fridges, achest freezer, and all the lights I want. It would be have been optimal if it came with a wheel set, as its pretty heavy when fueled up, but I don't plan on moving this thing very often. I highly recommend this generator.

Works Great

We were out of power for 3 days with Hurricane Milton. This generator ran our refrigerator, portable ac, skillet and air fryer. The plus is when we couldn’t find gas we were able to use propane. It ran for 14- 15 hours on one tank full of gas. I was so glad we purchased this!

Smooth motor & Easy to Run

Works great so far! Using while renovating a house—no electricity. Remote/electric start are a major plus. Pulling a cord gets tiring/old. Always starts up on 1st engine turnover. Runs smooth. Battery charges up well. Wheel kit definitely needed to move it around. Have had other brands (Champion, Generac, Firman, etc) but so far, this one is the best.

Poor handle design

I had problems right away as the generator would not start with the battery. I had to have the charger hooked up then it would start. I finally found the problem as a 10 amp fuse holder on a red wire from the battery was wedged between the front panel and the motor. The fuse was missing and was in the shipping bag cover. I replaced the and it started right up. I bought a wheel set for it also and made a thinner washer for one wheel. As I was pushing it back into the garage the whole unit tipped over because the handle does not lock in the up position and it landed on my foot and smashed my right foot. Very poor design!!! Other then that it runs great

Great for the price

We just purchased this generator and it is a good value for the price. We live in Louisiana and have lost power a few times over the past few years. It gets very hot in the summer so this will definitely come in handy to power a window unit as well as our refrigerator. Setup has been easy.

Westinghouse Gen

I looked at a lot of emergency generators online before settling on the Westinghouse but just before I ordered I looked at the features list and saw it had an hour meter and a voltage meter. I was disapointed when it arrived since it has neither. While researching I saw that some generators expect the oil to be changed ever 20 hours. This seems crazy as a emergency generator would probably be running 24 hours a day when it is needed. The westinghouse is better as it calls for every 50 hours for an oil change. An hour meter would be nice. Over all I like the dual fuel capability and it started 1st try with propane. I assume it will be similar with gasoline.
