Perfect for My 2 & 3 Year Olds!

I bought two of these rails-one for my two year old and another for my three year old. Their beds are against a wall, but I wanted protection for the other side of the bed as well. They are both quite wriggly when they sleep. This bed rail is perfect! It is long enough for nearly the entire length of the twin size beds. They are sturdy-my kids have sat on them numberous times while playing around. These rails are so easy to put together-the instructions were a bit confusing towards the end, but I was able to put two rails together in less than 30 minutes with no tools. They are really easy to put up and also to slide between the matresses. I was a bit skeptical when I read some of the reviews, but have been extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone!

Does what it claims to do

We bought this product for use on a bed that is occasionally used by adults, and I was hesitant to believe that the rail wouldn't be felt when it was between the mattresses. I have to say, I have been impressed -- it was easy to put together, sturdy and would fit any size mattress. It slides easily under the bed and the bed is just as comfortable when the rail is down!

study and long rail

I have purchased the simiar model from OneStepAhead.com which cost much more. Although I needed one more, I was hesitating because of the price. That was the time I found this bed rail. It is even greater than the one from OneStepAhead. It is simple and study. I wish I had found this earlier. I am 100% happy with this and recommend to anyone who is looking for the long and study rail.

Great bed rail!

I was hesitant to purchase this rail because of some of the negative reviews, but we did it anyway. I have been very pleased so far - it is not that difficult to assemble. The instructions have one tricky part, but I put it together by myself and installed it on the bed. I am 7 months pregnant, so that tells you that it is not that difficult. Our mattress is very thick, and it is still plenty high enough to stop a 'roller' from falling off. It almost fits the lenth of a full bed. You won't be able to get in and out of the bed easily yourself, but that is good, right? The rail has straps that go under the bed and metal hooks that hold it in place on the opposite side - a very secure feature that eliminates any gap.

Nice value, ok features

I thought overall the product served its design intent very well. The value was true to the material selections used in the construction of the product. Try estimating the actual width of the bed before running the clamp bars betweeb the mattress and box spring. It will make tightening the straps easier. My only genuine complaint is with the cumbersome task of sliding the rails out of sight. The independent locking hinge pins prevent one handed operation. This feature could use some design work.

We purchased this item for my 2year old daughter for her birthday, she upgraded to a twin big girl bed. I do love it, my only dislike is the the way you slide it out and up. It can be slid under the bed, but the sliding out part is very annoying, for that reason we just leave it up. It does serve its purpose. I would reccommend this item.

Looks good...not good

I was so excited to order this. It has so many great features. I loved that it was able to slide out of the way. It arrived and I opened the box and started putting it together. The directions were very vague and I had to put most of it together by pictures. It was a bit tricky in spots and took me a good 45 minutes to put together. I took it into my sons room and put it on the bed ( bottom part of bunk bed). It was an absolute hassle getting the darn thing on the bed. I then realized that it was just not going to work on a bunk bed. It needs to be between a mattress and boxspring to keep it stable. This was not mentioned anywhere on the box or instructions or anywhere. If I would have known this. I would have never ordered it and waited the 10 days to get it. I still can't see it being a good bed rail even if it was on a normal bed. It seems a bit cheap, and many of the piece I had were a little off so it was difficult to put together. My advice, look for a different bed rail, this one is just not worth the money or trouble.

Sturdy rails for the price

The rails are pretty sturdy for the price. They do the job even without handles locked in place. I am very pleased with the durability of the rails. They are even sturdier when the secure legs are up against the opposite end of the mattress. They could be a littel taller but it might be that my mattress is a queen pillow top. Even with the pillow top, the rails go over the mattress and then some but my toddler likes to stand using the rails and when he stands, they are no longer very tall...lol

LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!

This does exactly what I needed it to do! I have a 16 month old daughter that I moved to a queen size bed because she has a little sister on the way! The only resaon I gave it 4 stars was because its not made for a platform bed which I have. We made it work though. We laid 2 boxes that we flattened out underneath the mattress so the straps wouldnt slide between the wood slates. Shes rough with it just like any little kid would be. She will hold it while she bounces on the bed and pull on it but it doesn't go anywhere and stays in place! It took me about 20mins to put together and another 10mins to put on the bed with the help from my bf. I was a little skeptical after reading the reviews but SO GLAD I went and bought it! :)

Great Added Safety for Co-Sleeping with Baby

If you co-sleep with baby, or are considering co-sleeping, this is great added safety for the parental bed. Then, when child moves into own bed, it'd be perfect added safety for child's bed. I purchased 2 of the rails online for my child after the birth of grandbaby with free shipping to a Walmart store near my child's home.
