Satisfied

Just set up myself without major problems - took about 20-30 minutes. Does require 2 people to hook up to the bed. I am 5'9" so I am able to reach the slots to slide the rail underneath the bed, but a shorter person might have difficulty, but don't plan on using that feature for now.

No worries

This is the longest bedrail I could find. I do not worry that my son will fall out at either end. It wiggles a little but that's alright so far. We do not use the hide away feature; it's kind of a pain. So we just keep it up all the time. At first the parts that go under the mattress make it a bit lopsided but that goes away after a few days.

Easy To Assemble

Easy to put together but illustration should be larger so you can see clearly which side of the rail to stick in the bottom pole that goes under the bed, took a few tries for me before I got it right. It does slide under the bed easily when not in use.

Serves purpose, just inconvenient gap

It really does hold up against a child pushing or rolling against it. Very sturdy and can probably withstand a lot of weight/pressure. Only thing that really bothers me is that the bars that slide between the the mattress and box spring, separate the two about 2-3 inches from each other. So there is this giant gap in between the box spring and mattress. I am also using two of these, one for each side of the bed. Our mattress is so light I feel like it sort of slides around because it is not sitting down against the box spring. These serve the purpose they are intended for, and are easy to fold up and down. Pretty quiet too, I can sneak out of the bed and put this up without waking up my toddler.

Serves its purpose

It's fairly easy to install with 2 people lifting off the top mattress to place this underneath. It DOES fit a CALIFORNIA KING size mattress despite the description of up to queen size. The only improvement it would need is a little extra height. There's currently about 6 inches of height beyond the mattress and a taller gate would've been ideal but the taller regalo model is hard to find.

sturdy, durable, easy to clean, guard rail

i seen and had the smaller version of this guard rail many many years ago so i knew this would be a good deal. reasonable priced for the use it serves. my 2 year old granddaughter sleeps with me in 2 twin beds butted up against each other, forming a kingsize. but she always roams to the end of the bed at night. so when i seen this extra long guard rail, i was excited. having it at the end of both beds together resembles a footboard on a bed. i sleep better knowing she cant roll off the bed in her sleep. this product is worth every penny to be able to have peace of mind.

Poor Quality

This is a very cheaply made product. I was really looking forward to using this on my bed for my son. After I got it put together, my husband noticed that the pull part where the fabric is tearing and coming apart, so you can't secure it to the bed. Definitely taking this back to Walmart and will not be buying another!!!!!

Worth the purchase

Sturdy, good quality purchase. A few things worth noting... -Directions were not terribly clear. Even for a tech-savvy guy, it took longer than it should have. -Bed underneath will tend to sag over the rods which creates an uneven surface. Not a big concern for smaller kids as they won't notice the "lumps". But may be visually unappealing. -Pull-out does not effortlessly come out. Generally if you hide the gate often, this is probably not as convenient as it looks. ***The quality and ruggedness of the unit outweighs any of these concerns I have above.

Does the job +

I have this product on the bottom of a bunk bed. There isn't a whole lot of room betweeen the bed rail and the top bunk which can make it challanging to get my son in and out of bed. It is convenient however, that I can unlatch it and open it up completely...that makes it easier getting him in and out. Overall, this is a worth while investment for our family as he was always falling out of bed. The extra long length of it is perfect for what we needed. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a hard time keeping their child in bed!

safety rail for elderly

We are extremely, happy with Regalo long bed rail. We put this at head of bed, instead of in the middle. Person can get up,but it serves it's purpose in that person can not fall out of bed. Person is ambulatory, but turns in his sleep and has fallem on the floor before we installed the Regalo rail.
