Easy to put together but illustration should be larger so you can see clearly which side of the rail to stick in the bottom pole that goes under the bed, took a few tries for me before I got it right. It does slide under the bed easily when not in use.

I ordered this product when I moved my toddler from his baby bed to the bottom bunk bed. (my older son has top) I wanted to be sure he would not roll off. He has not rolled off but the rail in less than 2 weeks is warped, and it took quiet a while to put together. My boys are not allowed to play on their beds so it shouldn't have warped so easily. The under the bed idea seems great but overall this was not what I expected.

After a few scares with our son rolling near the edge of the bed we purchased one of these for a king size bed. It covers ~70% of the edge and in reality this is enough as that is nearly always where he is sleeping and rolling. It was relatively easy to assemble & install and it feels secure. I would recommend this to prevent accidental falls from bed.

I purchased this bed rail because when my baby gets sick I like for him to sleep with me so I can hear him if he needs me. The bed rail gives me peace of mind knowing my baby won't fall off the bed and he will be safe. I can also use this bed rail when he is old enough to sleep in his own bed. The bed rail is worth the money and is not hard to set up. If you are not using it you can just tuck it away until you need it. You can't feel it under the mattress at all.

This is a very sturdy product and good value for the price. I love the extra length which almost covers the whole length of a twin size bed. My 2 year old rolls around a lot and we needed a long one. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it is a little difficult to fold away. We don't use this feature much so doesn't really matter for us.

I bought two of these rails-one for my two year old and another for my three year old. Their beds are against a wall, but I wanted protection for the other side of the bed as well. They are both quite wriggly when they sleep. This bed rail is perfect! It is long enough for nearly the entire length of the twin size beds. They are sturdy-my kids have sat on them numberous times while playing around. These rails are so easy to put together-the instructions were a bit confusing towards the end, but I was able to put two rails together in less than 30 minutes with no tools. They are really easy to put up and also to slide between the matresses. I was a bit skeptical when I read some of the reviews, but have been extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone!

The rails arrived on time and were in perfect condition. The assembly was easy. I purchased two, one for a queen bed and one for a twin bed, and ended up returning both to the local Wal-Mart. I tried the rail on the twin bed, and the bars that go under the mattress, raised the mattress on each end causing a dip in the middle. I felt like that would wear on the mattress over time. I didn't bother to try it on the queen bed because of that. The product would have been perfect if the bars were flat and didn't raise the mattress unevenly.

I purchased this item after reviewing the comments made by customers who found this to be a good product. I have to agree that this bed rail guard is serving it's intended purpose. It was a little difficult to assemble because as others mentioned the directions are vague, the pictures, and descriptions are very hard to figure out. If you have some assembly experience you should do just fine. But, the manufacturer flubbed up terribly in this aspect. I put it together by myself as gpa watched. It fits great on a twin "big girl"bed for our granddaughter. She is 30 lbs and 33" long, a very big girl for 17 months. The bed rail runs almost the entire length of the bed with some room to scoot in and out of at the end of the bed; which is great and I pushed the bed up against the wall so the other side is safe as well. Also I just put two mattresses on the ground and the rail fits between two mattresses; we didn't use a box spring or frame. At bedtime or naptime, I lay down with her until she falls asleep, then I go to my bed in same room and don't have the restless, and busy moving little one between gpa and gma. We couldn't sleep at all worrying she would fall out of our bed or we would roll over onto her. But, usually she was asleep with her feet in my ribs and her head in gpas lap. What a relief to have her in the bed next to us all safe and secure. Thanks Walmart and Regalo!!!!

I had a smaller bed rail for my first child and sold it. We wanted the longer rail that locked better. I like the product overall but it doesn't slide easily under the bed and the locks on both ends have to be pulled out to drop the rail and again to push it under the bed. When you go to put it up again you have to pull both locking pins twice per side again. I wish there was a way to lock the pins open when you slide it under the bed. With that said my daughter loves her new bed and the crib is gone.

I bought this for my grandson who tosses and turns a lot during the night. The length is great. It's sturdy even with on our king size bed. However, with the thickness of our mattress, it's not tall enough. It reaches only about 3-4 inches above the mattress. We stuff king size pillows between the bed rail and the mattress to help keep him from falling out of bed. That's why I gave a rating of three in meeting my expectations. Most bed rails that I saw on line were only 20 inches tall. I haven't found one that was taller. Haven't tried the hide-away part.
