To complete my family's backyard transformation, we wanted to include a gazebo over our hot tub. After researching many different gazebo kits, we decided to team up with Backyard Discovery. We live in Northeast Ohio and get variety of weather. We were sold on this gazebo as it is PRO-TECT certified to withstand winds up to 100 MPH and 3,500 pounds of snow! Additionally, it came with a 5-year warranty and a power port so we could plug in our decorative lighting and eventually a small outdoor T.V. The Gazebo arrive quickly and well packaged. Assembly took us about 2 days, and we had 3 adults working on the project. The parts were well labeled, and the instructions were amazing!! Backyard Discovery not only provides normal paper instructions but, they utilize the BILT App which gives you 3D instructions as well as reads them aloud. The App also gives tips, tricks, and cautions during assembly. This was my first time using the BILT App and I am impressed. The assembled gazebo is very sturdy and is simply beautiful. I bought this because living in the Pacific Northwest it rains (a lot!) and I wanted an outdoor kitchen that wasn’t weather dependent. I’m really happy with how this turned out! The instructions were easy to follow and I put this together by myself in a weekend. The hardware was all good quality and there were plenty of extras, even though I didn’t need any, and I love that is made from real cedar. It seems durable and I think it’ll last me a long time! And it saved me thousands over my first plan of building my own shelter from cedar. This was a much better decision.

I can't say enough good thing about this product!! I searched a long time for something that was going to the size I wanted and withstand possible wind conditions. I had this built in September 2025 and this past winter we experienced lots of heavy wind conditions and zero concerns especially because my area building code requires 3ft footers so it definitely wasn't going anywhere!!! The only complaint from my contractor was the way it was packaged having to unbox everything and find all the parts. We had electric installed including a ceiling fan and the power port if excellent to be able to plug in additional items needed. Can't wait to get out this spring!

Purchased this on sale for $900 off the gazebo. Purchased with the assembly. Gazebo arrived, however no contact from the assembler. Spent several hours on the phone with Sam's Club trying to find an assembler. After no success even after they supposedly reached out to vendor we requested a refund for assembly of $1220. We were told we would get it in 5 - 7 business days. Followed up after 8 business days and no refund. Sam's Club says the discount was on the installation and only wanted to offer $300 back. The item is fine but Sam's Club and Vendor will rip you off on the assembly. Find somewhere to get it.

I purchased my Backyard Discovery Saxony XL grill gazebo to for our outdoor grill station. All of our parts were in great condition and install was pretty straightforward. It's great having a place to cook and serve hot off the griddle or smoker . Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

This gazebo was the perfect size for our patio area. The quality is outstanding and the construction of it was not difficult but just time consuming. I completed it myself except for the front and back beams attachments. Added outdoor string lights and it's a perfect place to sit and relax.

Assembly was at least a 3 person job over the course of a couple days. Helpful to put up temporary supports during connecting the walls together. We got the gutter and mosquito net also. This has been a wonderful addition to help shade our sunny concrete patio. Now we get to enjoy! The only issue we had was with the mosquito netting. They give 3/4” screws to attach the track which are too short to get aligned even with a longer bit. Highly recommend a magnetic bit or little fingers to get those rails up. It was by far the most fiddly part of the job.

This kit was excellent. Extra fasteners in case you lost one on the ground while building was a plus. Super easy installation booklet. The app was clunky and too time consuming to use. Love the protection for my car and we will use it for outdoor gatherings as well. I will paint it to match the rest of my house posts soon.

I bought and assembled my grill gazebo earlier this month. The kit was very well packed and came with all the necessary hardware including some extras! The directions were fairly easy to follow but you need to pay attention to the details in the pictures. I found it easier to build the roof structure and mount it before installing the roof panels. It was much lighter to lift with two people. Once installed, we added the roof panels one by one using two ladders. The gazebo looks great and is very functional. I have both my pellet grill/smoker and BBQ side by side under the gazebo!!

First they delivered it to our front driveway and did not let us know they were there. They blocked our car in the garage and we had to completely unload the boxes because they are too heavy for two people to move. The instructions are mostly pictures with little explanation and do not tell you what order to put some peices together. We discovered we were missing 2 pieces and when we contacted Backyard they said they would ship it out the next business day. 3 days later and it still has not shipped. We wanted to finish it over Memorial weekend but that didnt work because of missing parts. Also you will need at least 3 people to lift the roof up. 4 would be better. Finally I installed our gazebo on a patio that is sloped to drain water as most are. It would be nice if you could purchase extra plastic feet to allow the the gazebo to to be level. I had to fab a 1-1/2 inch cedar extension.
