I pulled this generator out of the box and assembled it per your instructions. I started to move the generator and the wheel almost came off. Your assembly staff did not weld two of the three sides of the bracket holding the wheel. I did not have a truck, so I could not take this product back or I would have! I ended up welding back on myself, properly and repainting the area. I bubbled the paint on the frame due the heat from welding. I think you need to give serious attention to you welding and inspections on you products. This is a safety issue!

We had three installation quotes and they were all very different configurations. Not many installers know the large portable set up. took longer than anticipated, and research. Once we reviewed the steps it was very easy. Moving to desired location also took planning as this is 450lbs. Good idea to have a battery charger on hand, we needed to charge the battery.

this machine is a beast! it is heavy and powerful and should provide the essential back up power my home needs. The manual for the initial set up was small in size which was a shame as a big machine should equal a big picture. the generator is on wheels but is not easy to move as it is soooo heavy. it also would have been nice if generac offered a custom cover for the machine as well.

This generator is very portable and easy to run.Love the electric start.It is a life saver since I live in north country.Very easy to put in system and my wife finds it easy to run.This will run all my house and I have a lot of eletrical appliaces.The company that put it in is very good and went right through it with us.

Just purchased this unit. Easy to assemble and service to run. Started in just a couple of revolutions. Low idle works as ment too. When power is needed it throttles up. Started my 4 hp compressor for initial test. No problem. I would recommend this unit.

I have been considering purchasing a backup power source for my home and had actually purchased a portable generator years ago. But as I've gotten older, having to pull the cord to get it started takes a toll on my shoulder and then there's the thought of my wife having to start it if I'm not home or able, it's no longer practicable. So I have been weighing my options and this unit looks great, compact, has electric start! Even included the battery. Although, I haven't needed it just yet, I feel confident that when I do I'm going to be able to get it going without injuring myself. and i won't have to worry about having being without power!!

Generator was purchased during the Northeast's infamous "end of August 2011 storm" and provided excellent whole house emergency power throughout that week long period, and the subsequent week long storm emergency the following October. The only complaint is that the fuel turn-off valve knob broke off when turned off. Aside from the inconvenience of transporting it back to the dealer, the problem was quickly rectified under guarantee and with out question.

I bought the 7500e generator as a back-up power source for my house and shop. I live in a rural area in Oregon, and we lose power occasionally during the winter time. Generac is the generator of choice for a lot of contractors because it's dependable, that's good enough for me.

Have installed and maintained Generac Whole home generators. So I am familiar with the quality , ease of Operation and maintenance of Generac products. Bought this for home backup After electrical outage. And with ice storm on its back fully anticipate using it. Am pleased with what I've seen and will add another review if I use it with my thoughts on product.

When I decided to purchase my generator, I spoke with a fellow instructor at the JATC. The company he works for is an authorized dealer of Generac and he understood my needs, as my home doesn't have natural gas nor a large propane tank. This generator is basically a whole house generator on wheels but uses gasoline. Assembly was rather easy with basic tools but a friend to help is recommended due to the weight of the unit. Speaking of weight, maneuvering is easy with the large pneumatic tires. Once the fuel system was primed it fires up a moment after the start toggle is pressed. The fuel tank is large, most small cars don't even hold 16 gallons, buy several 5 gallon cans as they are easier to lift/transport. As a licensed electrician I did the install myself and chose not to install a transfer switch but used a main breaker lock-out on my panel. As it sits the generator is not AUTO transfer switch ready but any good electrician could void your warranty and make it work...lol. For being all electric I have a light load of only 44A max per leg and the GP17500E doesn't even bat an eye. Summary.....have basic tools and a friend to help. Higher an electrician to install the proper legal hook-up means. Buy several gas can and rotate the fuel often. Very satisfied with everything.
