Indestructible!!!

I’ve only got about 10 or 12 hours on my 6500 but I am amazed at how it performs after surviving two floods in my garage!!! Both times the water got high enough to fill the muffler and reached the electrical outlets. Both times I drained the water out, checked the carburetor and changed the oil to be safe. It fired up, steamed out the remaining bit of water in the muffler and ran as though nothing had happened. I was sure I was going to have to spend a lot of money to get it up and running again. I’m very impressed with my purchase. I’m staying with these guys.

Great machine - runs everything

I bought this generator to replace a much smaller unit so that I could run the electric range, HVAC, refrigerators/freezer, and water pumps in my home. I installed a 50-amp transfer panel and tested the setup with all the circuits pulling power, and the generator never missed a beat. Future plans are to install a 30-amp transfer panel to power the electric water heater, lights, and outlets. Others have remarked that the unit is too heavy to put the wheel kit on without help. I had no such problem - a hydraulic floor jack would probably help a lot.

Amazingly powerful and still portable!

We absolutely LOVE our new generator. We can run all the critical items in our home during an outage, including our ductless A/C unit! We lived through hurricane Matthew last year and with a new storm season on us again here in FL, we bought this generator. Its as close to 'stand by' as we can afford - and we couldn't be happier to have it!

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall we have loved having this generator around. We did test it out with a few power tools and it works great. We have it ready to go for the rest of hurricane season. Right now we have used it for minor stuff just to test it out and so far it seems to hold up great. It is not overly loud for a generator. I will say it is really heavy and I am glad it has the handle to push/pull it. I am even more glad its handle can be moved in different positions.

Tbis product is expected to meet our needs during a storm caused power outage!

The.instructions for assembly were easy to follow. The instructions were straight forward with all parts included. The generator started on the second pull and worked flawlessly. I feel confident the generator will help keep my family comfortable during an extended power outrage. Having the generator and being able to connect it to the house is very convenient.

This product works great

The only problem we have is the manual and the website is useless for this model. Changing the oil is NOT as instructed in the manual or on the website. There is no plug for draining the oil. Also, finding the "Serial No." is impossible. It is not where you are directed to look by the help line, the website, or the manual.

Great Generator

I bought this for my 5th wheel after experiencing a power outage, it has a 4 prong 30amp plug, and several 20amp plugs. There is a Y adapter that can be purchased after market to plug into the 30amp and the 20amp and then to your 50amp RV plug. This lets you utilize at least 45 amps from your generator. Now I can power both A/C units when on portable power.

Great Generator

Bought this generator to run my equipment at stock shows. It'll run four 8 amp fans, and two 20 amp blowers at the same time. Has no difficulty starting all the fans at the same time, or the blowers. We put 35 hours running straight on it this weekend, and it didn't skip a beat in the Texas heat. I was worried that it would run out of fuel overnight and the cattle would get hot due to the fans quitting...I topped off the fuel tank at 9 PM, and was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at 9:30 the following morning with it still running, with a half gallon or so to spare. Just make sure you keep the oil fresh and this generator will provide for you! Only complaint is that it is a bit on the loud side...but we just stick it on the other side of the trailer and it is muffled enough then. It does weigh about 200 pounds BEFORE a full gas tank...so have a buddy around when you're going to lift this one!

Must have for hurricane season!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TriFuel Generator by Generac is going to come in very handy come hurricane season. Living in central Florida, a generator is a must have! This one runs on natural gas, gasoline and propane. We tried it first with propane and it started right up with the battery start, and it quickly shut right off when we closed to valve on the propane tank. Last year there was a huge issue with finding gas after Hurricane Milton, now that we can also use propane I feel so much more prepared!

Easy out of the box assembly.

Easy out of the box assembly. Took about 20 minutes to assemble. Everything you need in the box except the gas. Filled with oil, charged the battery and started right up. Noise level is less than I had expected....that's a good thing. Looking forward to using the unit for home backup.
