Seems to be well built. Could use a volt meter.

This is a fresh purchase so have not had a chance to operate it as of yet. Looks to be a well built machine and am hoping for a good experience owning it. My main concern is that I can plug it into my double throw auxiliary power and feed power to multiple buildings. The neutral bonding should allow for this. My past gen. Had neutral bonded to fram and would not function this way without throwing the breaker on the gen.

this product has great features

i highly recommend everybody having a generac generator as an emergency backup after going through hurricane irma and having no power for 8 days and we lost all of our perishable food in deep freeze and refrigerator because we did not get generator until after the storm but so glad i ordered it because of the unbearable heat in florida and we were able to run window ac's and well to take showers very satisfied.

Saved the Week!

I live in the Sierra foothills of California. We recently had a series of power shut-offs by the electric company in order to avoid wild fires. This cool generator allowed us to run our home like we had electricity (with the exception of dishwasher and washer/dryer - which I could live without). My only negative comment is that the handles are not as handy as could be. Other than that I have no complaints.

Overall Good Generator for the Price

I purchaed the 7500E about 9 Months ago, overall the Generator has been great and very reliable. I only had two issues, the first issue happened 20 hours after initial startup. When the engine wouldn't start due to a valve problem. (Repaired under warranty). The second problem was a build up of Carbon which prevented the engine from rotating. The second problem occured after 959 hours and was not covered under warranty. It cost be a little over $110.00 to repair. Other then those two issues the Generator has been great.

Great, easy to use unit! Powers plenty!!!

Like so many others, going 7 1/2 days without power during the freak October Nor'easter SUCKED! I bought the GP7500E for back up power. Great unit! Easy assemble out of the box....was up and running in 15-20 minutes. We will never be without power. What a relief knowing we won't have to go throught that again! I recently had a friend who's an electrican install a 10 circuit transfer switch. This unit has plenty of juice to power everything we hooked up and then some. Hopefully we won't have to use it too often but, if it goes dark again.....we're ready! Thanks Generac

Excellent quality

I purchased the Generac GP 8000E after a recent ice storm where we lost power for 2 days... also, have encountered power losses in summer with hurricane/wind storms. Upon delivery, there was very little assembly necessary before it was ready for service. Excellent quality construction. Has a good set of features to make it easy to use with the electric start... maintenance to keep in it service looks minimal. As the electrician, who installed our breaker panel interlock, stated... you have close to a whole house generator at a fraction of the cost."

Buy it!.

I stopped in Lowe's, 5 miles down the road, and bought the generator due to storms damaging electric lines. Easy to assemble, instructions easy to read, put oil and gas in it and fired it up. It’s been providing electric to the house for over 40 hrs, no issues. It’s wired to a transfer box then into the house, and I selectively control the house breaker panel for needs. I keep the water pump, water heater, TV, Internet, and lights on all the time. I selectively control whatever else I need. At night I have a box fan running and can’t really hear (25 ft from the house) the generator. Great product. Buy it! I love the electric start. Wish they had a separate power outlet for charging the battery, instead you have to use one of the 4 120 VAC outlet provided. I made a 1 ft extension cord with three female plugs, and mounted the cord to the frame Now I can charge the battery, and still use the outlet for multiple items. Buy it

Great product, but would like to see added feature

While I've not yet tested the GP7500E under loss of power conditions I must say the product does what it says. It is easy to put together, run, and register. It starts smartly and continues without apparent problems or interruptions. I would like to see a trickle charger incorporated into the unit or a recharging feature that would recharge the batteries when the unit is running. This is my only drawback, otherwise, dependable and smooth running. It gets the job done!

It has what the average household needs.

Only time will tell if it holds up well over the long haul, or if the investment was a poor decision. Realistically I don't believe it is meant for heavy duty service, but if taken good care of, and with only emergency duty, I will expect a long service life (many years) of reliable service.

Yes....purchase this one

We bought our first Generac 7000kw in 2004 it has ran our 55' trailer in the middle of the bush for 7yrs. then built our OFF GRID home powering all our power tools needed for the build, then for the last 3 yrs used as a back up to our Off grid solar system. Still going strong only serviced once to clean it up with a tune up. Purchased New one GP7500E to carry us forward for another 10 yrs and use the older one as our back up. Quiet, easy to use, I will always buy a Generac.
