Haven't had a chance to use this yet but it was easy to set up and starts great, seems to run just fine. I've only run it for about an hour to break it in, my transfer switch should be done in the coming weeks so the real test will be when I power up the house with it.

I have the 7000E and from what I can see other than the covered outlets and uni handle bar, it is the same model? The only issue I have so far with the generator is that the on/off fuel valve tab broke on me when I was turning it on. Now I use a tiny vice grip to turn the valve. Hard to find what part number I need for the generator b/c I can't find a parts list but all and all a solid generator.

Hurricane Isaias blew into town and took out hundreds of thousands of homes power. Luckily, I was able to find a strong generator at a great price. I took it home, assembled it very easily and quick, gassed it up and put it into service within an hour. Good thing too, power was out for 4 days and I didn't loose anything in my Refrigerator, or sleep.

I'm impressed, it did it's job!! It was so easy to put together, the instructions were clear cut, and I'm overall impressed with it. If I had any qualms, i would say it's a little pricy for me, but I'm so very thankful I now have one. It's a good product and I would recommend.

We were into a two day power outage and the temperature was in the 20's. Called ahead and paid over the phone - picked Generac because of the name and quality. Drove 70 miles and picked it up and by the time I got home I was too tired to put it together. It got down to 13, but our propane stove kept us warm - put our food outside! Got the generator put together and the power came on! Took a break, added oil and cranked w/o gas to make sure everything was oiled good and it started! Filled with gas and started on the first crank. Plugged in 2 space heaters and the truck engine heater and let it run for an hour and a half to break it in for next time. Plugged in the battery charger and charged for 24 hours to make sure it is ready to go - really like the battery start feature! Great purchase for us - we have been wanting to get one. I already had to use my generator, because the local substation near us was shut down for about eight hours. had it up and running in about 15 minutes and ran 80-90% of the house without interuptions. Very pleased with this generator! I would highly recommend this generator!

I have had the pleasure of not having to use my generator that I purchased just over a year ago. However for the first time this summer it was finally used but yet again not by me. During a series of severe weather outbreak a friend of mine last power due to downed trees. I offer my generator to him to help keep his basement from flooding. His intention were just to use it for the sump pump. He ended up running not only the pump, but his freezers, refrigerator, air conditioning units and other things. He used it for 40 hours straight and forgot he was even on a generator until he had to fill it after the first 27 hours of run time.

I really like the product, however the Owner's Manual and installation was hard to read and did not adequality explain and was hard to follow. The Unit id Label was hard to read because it was too close below the generator. It would be better with larger illustrations and more views.

This generator was fairly easy to assemble and is easy to move, thanks to the extended handles. It’s reliable and efficient, and has plenty of available outlets. While not quiet, it’s not as noisy as others I’ve heard. We’ve waited many years to buy a generator, and this model, recommended by our electrician, has performed well in two outages shortly after our purchase.
