OGE is having major issues of late on our grid. Past Sunday the weather got to -4 …. windchill -15. My electric went off for over 5 hrs and I ended up replacing the pipes in the well house due to everything freezing up. I researched and decided to purchase this Generac 7500. Very glad I did. We’ve another major storm brewing this upcoming weekend and I wanted to be ready. I can’t depend on OGE anymore and having an alternative power back up gives me the feeling of control and power over my situation. Instead of being a victim of OGE.

Inherited as part of our home purchase and to be fair did not pay much attention to it. Started it once just to check if it works about 3 years back. I had very little hopes of getting it started and have it working. Battery was flat (since i never charged it) and it had 4+ years old gas in it. NOTE: Please do not try this on your set :) It started on the second pull and have been running for last two days. We have 2 refrigerators, 1 deep freezer, forced air heating, washer dryer, garage doors, kitchen appliances including a microwave and whole house lighting. We are careful of not loading it up. With that said, this thing runs like a champ, flawless. Cannot recommend it enough.

This unit has more features than I expected ie: winter carb heating and an excellent variety of electrical connections that suit any purpose. I will be using it for a solar power system back-up. I have previously purchased a standby Generac (16kw) for our home and have been more than satisfied with it as well.

Not my first experience with Generac products as I purchased a GP7000E in 2009. It still runs but I have outgrown it and the GP17500E will meet all of my needs for the several different uses I have it for. Excellent product, highly reliable and all of the people I have talked to that work at Generac and the people at the dealers have been absolutely a pleasure to deal with on every level. More companies need to follow Generac's lead with product quality, reliability, affordability and, above all, the quality of the people they hire to represent their company. Absolutely first rate, Generac! Well done!

I tried it out right away to see how it performed. It started on the first pull and was able to power all the essentials in my home. I am very pleased with the performance and quality of this generator thus far. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Bottom of box and pallet was taped to pallet. I signed off, delivery driver drove off. 3 hours later, at 6:30 pm I took off the tape to see that somewhere in the process the tape was used to cover up a number of big holes and the powder coated frame was scraped up in 5 places. The battery tray flange was bent. Forklift damage I assume. I'm asking retailer to contact Generac and get me touch up paint to avoid rust... and a return.... I'm in the process of breaking it in. Lets see how Generac handles this, and I'll report back. Somebody tried to cover up a mistake, and it does not reflect well on the brand.

I had an old 12,000 or 10,000 watt Generac not sure what year it was that would run my house off transfer switch. It came with the house n was stored under wood box by transfer switch. I bought the house in 1993 and bought a new cheap generator in 2012 to replace the old Generac . I never used the new generator that was a 12,000 watt other than letting it run a bit every 3 months. We had a bad storm in 2020 and I used it everyday for a week till it came apart n the air filter caught on fire plus I could not run a lot of stuff in the house. I just bought the Generac 1500 and used it once on a power outage n it ran whole house. I’m impressed with the quality of the Generac

After much research I waited a little too long to purchase this generator as we had a power outage at 9:30 pm but at 11 pm I had the house up and running the store was 20 minutes away.The unit did every thing I expected and more.My family was very relieved as I had every light in the house on 2 freezers ,fridge and sump pump I had already set the house up for generator use so after assembling generator it was plug in and go.The outage lasted 6 hrs then 2 days later power was out again for 4 hrs did not miss a beat I hope I do not need it again but if I do the security is worth the price alone.

Used it for one winter. Started great with battery !Then tried battery start in Spring and it wouldn’t start. Charged battery. no go. Changed battery, no go.Changed spark plug no go! Called customer service and after being on hold for 34 minutes, I told employee my problem and my troubleshooting and she said maybe bad gas, I said it starts manually pull start. She said, maybe new battery is not charged! Checked , full charge. She told me to bring it to local Generac repair shop. Now i gotta rent a truck, lug the 250 pound machine across the state and drop it off to have them check it out. Not sure if its worth the trouble even though its obviously still under warranty til 2023. I heard they were dependable, thats why I bought it. Looks like I’m pull starting for the duration even though the selling point for me was battery start....Bummed out and disappointed!
