I bought the GP8000E about 6 months ago for my house, I liked Generac so much that I just bought a GP2200i 9/12/2018 and received it today 9/15/2018. I just put oil in it, and going to get some gasoline. This one is for my tools (drills, circular saws etc.) I like Generac products. I bought this generator a few years ago and boy did it save my butt. I lost power last winter and had to use my new generator. Having it I was able to Heat my house and keep my refrigerator cold. I also had some lights wired too. Having this generator made my wife happy and that is what's important. A happy wife is a happy life. This was money well spent. Thank You General.

We used this generator less than 50- hours. When we needed it again summer of 2020 we discovered the generator burned!!! Very DISAPPOINTED We had to use an older 10- year old Briggs and Stratton that started up right away. We are currently waiting on new generator to be ordered and delivered , due to Covid reasons it’s taken this long. We pray once a new generator is installed it will work great for us for years to come.

This seems to be a good generator is provided backup power for me for 4 days straight. The only thing I wish the generator had was a percentage used of power as other generators offer that feature. The only feature offered on this is the hour meter which is very good for maintenance

We had a standby 12K natural gas backup generator from Generac in upstate NY and when we moved to eastern North Carolina we had nothing so we decided to go with a portable. Purchased the Generac 7600E (electric start) and had a electrician wire a 10 circuit panel into our house circuits. When the power goes out, we just plug the generator into the house circuits, start it and turn on the house circuits 1 at a time. Works wonderfully. My only wish is that the electric start battery system had a meter to tell the user how much voltage was left in the battery. Overall cost about $1500.

I'm a controls engineer who was very fussy about what kind of power that is going to my house. i know what kind of damage could happen if you get power spikes, power surge and transient voltage. all kind of the same thing. when testing what kind of power that came off of it seemed great. 60hz and 240volt RMS. I had zero problem with it. i do charge the battery every 90 days give or take. my only complaint that i have with it is i wanted a spine on oil filter. Generac said it had one, it's a fine screen not quit what i wanted. but it was already delivered so i keep it. One thing i would get for your house with any generator is a whole house surge protector.

Shopped around for other makes and always came back to the Generac reviews. Price is good. The company I bought it from Assembled it for me at no extra cost.I put in the oil and gas and started on the first pull. Tried all Receptacles on the generator. All worked. Bought it as a stand by in case we lose power.Good product

I bought it at Sam's Club (06 JUN 22) and assembled it per the instructions. I fired it up once and it ran for a few minutes. When I shut it down and attempted to restart it, it wouldn't fire. It just makes backfiring noises. It still doesn't start or run. Needless to say, I am not pleased! Your phone rep was supposed to forward me a list of authorized repair shops, but I have yet to receive it. I want my generator to run in event of a power loss. Please help me to reconcile this situation.

Although we've only had the generator for a couple weeks it's already proved its worth. Sturdily built this champ can take it. We opted for a portable instead of a whole house so we could take it to our homestead in MO. Took me awhile to get power running because it wasn't clear the 240 circuit breaker was the breaker for the entire electrical panel not just the 240 breaker. *facepalm* I wanted to get a maintenance kit but couldn't find the one I needed for my particular model. Anyone know?

I have used Generac products for years during my career. In all cases my experience was positive. Recently becoming victim to a severe storm at my lake house, I found myself needing back up power. I went online to several retailers and found Generac at a somewhat near store. I purchased the unit and can say it performed as expected, zero issues. Assembly was simple, start up effortless. Ran without issue until power restored.
