Recently we went through a 90 hours power outage and this generator combined with the Generlink transfer switch got us though this outage with minimal inconvenience. Only had to use this generator a few times since i purchased it two year ago but it has been a life saver

The GP Series Portable Generator is very easy to operate and the noise level is very low .The start-up consists of very few steps and easy to follow as is the shut down . I would have no hesitation recommending GENERAC , from my point of view the dealer as been exceptionally helpful and has a very good knowledge of the product. In reviewing the material (manual /brochure) received with the product it is very user friendly ,easy to understand and excellent diagrams to reference. The on-line registration is also very user friendly

This generator was fairly easy to assemble and is easy to move, thanks to the extended handles. It’s reliable and efficient, and has plenty of available outlets. While not quiet, it’s not as noisy as others I’ve heard. We’ve waited many years to buy a generator, and this model, recommended by our electrician, has performed well in two outages shortly after our purchase.

Very easy to setup, had the house on backup within minutes of receiving the unit and it runs everything we need with power to spare. 10 circuits including fridge/freezer. well pump, boiler, lights, , microwave, kettle, toaster, home theater and office...!

We use to experience power outages in our area as much as 9 times a year. That was when it was our cottage and before the utility company did a great job of clearing trees from around the lines. Now we sold our house and live here full time. About 1 or 2 outages a year. We just bought $200.00 of food for the frig and freezer and had an outage. Bought my new Gererac generator the next morning and saved everything. During the outage I installed the transfer switch and could not be happier being able to use everything important for comfortable living during an outage (even the Hot Tub). Very easy to use, very easy to set-up.

I purchased this unit to replace an older smaller unit. It runs quiet for its size, and the large fuel tank means I don't have to fill up in the middle of the night. It is installed in such a way that I can feed the entire 200AMP Panel, and choose which circuits I want to power. I used it during our last snow storm, and put 14 Hrs on it of continuous use other than to shut down to fill it once. I am able to run my furnace, Well pump, Sewer pump, upright freezer, 20Cu ft refrigerator, 1.5 Cu Ft refrigerator, one light in each of the 3 bedrooms, a light in the living room, and a cable box & flat screen TV, and night lights in the bathrooms. If you have children, you understand the need for the TV and night lights! I usually leave about 10 circuits powered on, and monitor what is used on each circuit. Do you homework, figure out your wattage draw, and you will have no problems. Just be sure to balance your load draw. I chose the Generac because of their products are built well, and have a great track record. Best investment by far to keep a "happy family" when the power goes out.

Having used generators with pull start, I was not able to pull with my bad arm. So I looked for one with electric start and chose the Generac GP 8000. Glad I did. Easy to hook to my house, and it powers my house, and one push of a button, it starts right up. I would recommend it to any one.

I have a pull start which neither I or my wife can start. We always have to call our son to get it started. I decided to look for an electric start unit after looking at many different units and reading reviews, we got the Generac GP75002E. All I can say is, it's a great unit with all the power we'll ever need and at a fare price. Don't have to wait for others to get here anymore whenever we have a power outage. I would recommend the Generac units to anyone.

Bottom of box and pallet was taped to pallet. I signed off, delivery driver drove off. 3 hours later, at 6:30 pm I took off the tape to see that somewhere in the process the tape was used to cover up a number of big holes and the powder coated frame was scraped up in 5 places. The battery tray flange was bent. Forklift damage I assume. I'm asking retailer to contact Generac and get me touch up paint to avoid rust... and a return.... I'm in the process of breaking it in. Lets see how Generac handles this, and I'll report back. Somebody tried to cover up a mistake, and it does not reflect well on the brand.
