It is very easy to operate, especially with turning it on. It provides very reliable power throughout the time that I had it on. It also is easy to store as it's not too big.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with the Generac Dual Fuel Generator. I gave it a try on my farm and it effortlessly powered anything I asked of it. Skill saws, lights, anything! It was easy to assemble. Propane took a minute to get started but gasoline fuel fired right up. The only reason I knock of one star is the difficulty we had starting it initially. Noise level is adequate for it's size. I couldn't imagine the farm without it. It also provides me comfort to know it's ready when needed for one of our many power outages!

Once we got it on the wheels it was a breeze to maneuver. This feature helps to get it out of storage once it is actually needed. This generator works great and without jinxing myself I can't wait to use it. This generator will have enough power to operate all of my essential appliances if the power happens to go out. I can't say enough good things about it!!

Fortunately, we have not had to run it for an extended period of time since receiving; however, test runs have been successful and it seems like it will work efficiently and as expected for when we need it to run for hours. The generator came on a pallet and was packaged well. It is HEAVY without the wheels and handles. About 170 lbs I believe. So you'll want at least two people to lift (or just rip the box open like I did). Instructions are clear and assembly was pretty quick - about 20 minutes or so. It's definitely easier to assemble if you have more than one person. Once the handles and wheels are attached, it is easy to move around. While I'd recommend moving it with both hands, I was able to push it with one arm and record with the other and I'm not that strong. The generator itself feels very heavy duty and high quality. It seems like it'll last a long time. It's easy to start up and not excessively loud (it's a generator after all, so there is some sound to it running). I like that the wheels don't need air so they won't go flat. I also like that there are several outlets with attached outlet covers for protection. Lastly, as someone who is very anxious I greatly appreciate that this generator has onboard carbon monoxide monitoring. Overall, I'm incredibly satisfied with this generator and I'm happy we're prepared for the future!

It has all the essential features that a generator need, i live in the south so losing electric during the hurricane seasons is nothing new. The size is decent for an essential generator, not to mention its outstanding performance that help my refrigerator, can charge my electric car, microwave during the time of losing power. The design feature is phenomenal for its safety features. I highly recommend getting one.

I bought this one, it served me well during these power outages they have here in Tennessee. Powered my fridge, two bedrooms ( t/v's and boxes), electric fire places. Filled it up at night, it would run all night. (8+ hours). It served me well. I have the whole house one now.

I wouldn't use it for a whole house but it could handle my essentials if I needed it to. The set up is not intuitive and the instructions are horrible. They should definitely include clearer instructions and pictures or how to set up the device and how to operate it. It's quite heavy but easy roll around once the wheels and handles are attached.

It's easy to use, easy to move, and has enough output to power most appliances. Buyers should understand that generator won't be able to power multiple major appliances, but you can power a refrigerator or freezer just fine! The GP5500 runs on unleaded gasoline and has a run time of about 10hrs. It was easy to assemble and took about 20mins to put on the handle, wheels, and rubber feet. I've only put about 4hrs of time on it so far and it has worked great. Overall, if there is a major power outage, you can count on this generator to function when you need it.

When we lost power it gave us comfort allowing us to run our portable AC and keep our refrigerator running. This generator has brought great value to our house. A additional benefit is it's on wheels so we can easily set it up. Generac is a very durable generator. I was given this generator to test and write my review. I highly recommended this generator because it's very easy to set up and its dual fuel makes it easy. Because of this generator and its awesome performance we were comfortable in this Texas heat and we don't lose our food .

after purchasing a different brand and having problems right out of the box with both products I bought this generac portable generator with a generic transfer switch and having it installed by a licensed electrician and approved by my local county all systems are go fortunately have not needed to use it this winter yet but I've had a generac in the past that served me very well
