Good value for the price

I looked extensively at generators prior to making my purchase and this one had more features and value for the price. Was very easy to set up and start up can be done by anyone. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for a portable generator.

Great alternative to bigger generators

A lot of features for the money! This unit delivers emergency power for our whole house, except for the oven and dryer. With it, freeers and refrigerators have enough amps to start their compressors, something smaller generators do not! Also, It has overheating shutdown, which is a great reliability feature. The only problem we’ve had so far is with the battery start. the terminals on the battery come loose way to easily. An inexpensive alternative to the permanent generators, which can easily run over $10000 installed. It is sad that we have a need for this technology, when our parents had cheap reliable energy. And it all could of been avoided.

This product has great features

So far I only have had it for a week. It is smaller and lighter when moving it around compared to my old generator. I am slowly checking out all of the cool features it has. I especially like the ability to charge the battery just by plugging it in. and the light that will show when the battery is low. Larry

Very good quality and simple to use

Bought during a power outage and brought power back to my house very quickly. Assembly is simple and straightforward. Generator has started first pull and still starts very well with the included electric start. pushes a lot of power so nominal rating is not overrated. a bit noisy but I was amazed to see how little gas it used. Not the cheapest, but quality is top.

Works great

Bought as an upgrade to a small generator during hurricane Irene (used with extension cords to keep fridge/lights running. We had an electrician hard wire the 7500E to the house in time for the October snowpacalypse (15.5" of snow, power out for 6 days). We have over 180 hours on the generator in 2 months, but for the last storm (6 days out), we were quite comfortable, and were able to run the dishwasher, septic pump, stove, etc. The power being out became a minor inconvenience. Aside from the quick *pre-dark* oil changes, no real maintenance beyond filling the tank twice daily. Very happy with the generator, and have already recommended the same unit to friends.

Great performance, easy to use

Bought GP15000E after extensive research. Because of demand, it took almost four weeks to receive it and Generac transfer switch. Worth the wait. Both were reasonably easy to set up. I store the generator inside garage, but suggestions for shelter when it is being used outside would be appreciated. There are some slight differences in operating instructions between the generator and transfer switch manuals.

Easy set up and operations

I purchased this generator for my parent who needs it as a home back up power supply when she loses power because of storms and I'm not able to stay with her. I own a storm boss generator, it always starts and works great. So I wanted to stay with generac. This unit has electric start which makes it easy her. It runs great.

Great product

Had to replace the generator I left behind in my previous home after 14 years of use. It was a Generac. I looked at several other brands, but settled on the Generac because of the reliability, wattage and value. Received it yesterday, assembled the wheels, feet and battery, and it started on the first try. Thanks.Tim31

Saved us after Irma

Living in the outskirts of Gainesville, FL. we lose power on a constant basis, and becomes a constant nuisance to my family and myself. So the following year I determined to take my tax return and buy a new generator. I researched multiple generators in finally set my mind on the Generac 17500. Since receiving my generator in February I've used it seven times running it 4 to 5 hours with no problems, then Irma hit. I ran this generator for over seven days nonstop and it was a lifesaver. I cannot thank Generac and the people who built this generator for the power, comfort and support it has given my family. This is a well-built generator and I highly recommend it to anyone. GP15000E This generator and i have been through two hurracains

Just before August 9, 2004 – August 15, 2004 I acquired the GP15000E for construction work that i was doing at the time. some of my co workers said that for just for me using portable power it was way overkill but hey i'm just that way. So the overkill came in handy when Hurricane Charley arrived. Charley was brutal, killed power every where. Lucky for me, overkill and I had a lot of Power to run. I was lucky my neighbor was an electrician because i was just going to run fans and and a fridge. he happened to be around to help. In exchange for him hooking Overkill directly to my house"s breaker box so we can run the air conditioner I let him and his wife and his two little babies bunk with us which he really appreciated and so did i for his service. It was a hot for those four days that we went with out regular power but Overkill was a great investment. Not only that i went through with Charley but also moved to Texas just in time for Hurricane Ike in September 1, 2008 – September 15, 2008. Went three days with out regular power on that deal. There has been a few storms since then that my trusty Overkill has pulled me through some power outages. I would recommend for anybody to have a Generator of some sort but i recommend Generac because so far i have not had any problems with my Overkill, I"m glad i have that tool in my war chest. As a matter of fact a storm blew through Huntsville Texas yesterday 3/24/2017 that knocked down trees on the power lines that left me once again without power for about 10 hrs. Lucky for me i have Overkill here to save the day. well that my story , hope this helps you out with your decision on what power to buy
