[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator is perfect. Has a quick start button to make it easy for me to start. It operates off gas, propane or natural gas. It is quiet during running which is a great plus. Has a handle and wheels to make it simple to move around to where it is needed. Large enough to keep me in civilization during power outages.

This GP8000E has most of the features I was looking for in a replacement/upgrade Generator. Electric Start is a must for me, Hour meter for Maintenance intervals is a great feature, low oil shut down, and charger for the battery. This unit came with Plastic "No Flat" tires that I find are harder to maneuver the unit with over the driveway lip, gravel etc. these obstacles are mini stopping blocks for these tires compared to pneumatic tires. One noteworthy item I was surprised with is no oil filter as my older Generac has a spin on oil filter but that's not a deal breaker for me. With GENERAC's quality and reputation I expect to get another 10 plus years out of this unit as I have on my old Generac that will be passed on to a family member home for back-up there. Overall i'm very pleased so far with my upgraded unit. I would recommend this unit for any homeowner as back-up power.

Dealer made purchase very easy, put generator together while I waited and showed full operation of the equipment. Product is heavy but easy to move, gas shut off makes it easy to relocate the equipment without flooding the carb and smelling up the SUV.

pro- whole house for me. 2.5 heat pump and any thing else I need in a power outage. Starts well; comes up to power right away. con- don't like the plug in underneath. My old 15,000 had it right out front. In my area we can expect an outage about every 2 months; sometimes lasting from 2 hrs. to 10 hrs. and even several days. Wouldn't be without my Generac.(P.S. I am a retired electrical employe)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this 3600 watt generator about a week ago and I am so glad I got it. I had been looking into getting one since Irma came through and we lost power for a week. Now I have one big enough to run my chest freezer, refrigerator, a lamp and a fan. The box came damaged, but the product was in tact and had all the bolts required to put the handle and wheels on.

In one year our area had two major multi-day power outages. I purchased this generator after speaking with licensed electricians and reading on-line reviews. Set up was very easy and clear. I wanted to run a test with just a small amount of gasoline (1 qt) but I needed a gallon to get everything flowing. It started and I ran it for about 20 minutes - testing electrical capacity. Seems good - let's I hope I don't need it, but if I do, it's there and I'm confident it will get the job done.

Excellent product. If you want a portable generator that can take just about any kind of load you can throw at it, this is it. It took the load of an electric dryer, a roast in the oven, a load of cloths in the washing machine with lights on in several rooms at the same time. I checked the voltage and frequency under this load with my meter. It was dead on 60 HZ at 242 volts. It didn’t even seem to be working that hard.

Bought the 6500E after the last ice storm and power outage for 5 days. Although I didn't have to use it for the latest winter storm (thankfully), the ease of set up and start up was great. I just ran it for a little to make sure it was gonna be ready if needed and it was everything I thought it would be. Not too loud and would easily handle my emergency backup needs.

We got tired of being hot and sitting in the dark. Unpackaged unit and filled with supplied oil and added fuel. Came with choke in the on position and started first pull. Runs lights, fans, tv, and cell chargers easliy. Not super quiet but not loud for what it is. Very happy so far!!

Easy to install wheels, tow arm. Easy to move around. Started immediately. Did not seem significantly louder than any other generator. After showing my wife how to use it, she said "that's easy". Electrician had no issues hooking up my Generac manual transfer switch. Now I hope to never use this generator, but I'm ready.
