I've owned my 7500E for just over 8 months now. As others have mentioned, from ordering to delivery was flawless, set up took very little time. Once I had the transfer switch installed, I ran through a test of all 10 circuits with the electrician and it barely created a load on it...even he was amazed. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and feel very confident recommending it to anyone considering this model.

I am very satisfied with my purchase of my GP6500E generator. It was money well invested. The quality and performance of this Generac generator is great. The installation and startup directions were very easy to follow for someone like me that is not to keen on the mechanics of putting something together. The motor is not too noisy at all, we can barely hear that our generator is on at all when working. I will definitely recommend this product to all my family. I am getting ready to purchase a Generac Home Standby Generator in the next few months.

It works well for power tools. Used it a few times and liked it. My question is if I use it for a power outage and plug my electronically controlled furnace and refrigerator into the generator will this hurt the electronic in my refrigerator and furnace?

We have had a lot of power outages in the past year. I had a small generator, but wouldn't handle everything, I would have to shut off things then turn on things. With the New bigger model I can run everything ! Easy to put together, easy to run ! So glad I made this purchase !!!! My small generator is a General, had great experience with it, so that is why I recommend General !!!!

Brought my new GP8000E generator home, unboxed it, assembled it, prepped it for the first run and then started it and watched as gas ran out of the air cleaner box. The only way I could get it to stop was to siphon the gas out of the tank. Apparently during the manufacturing of the unit someone mis-installed, mis-assembled or mis-welded the internal tank vent tube allowing gas to leak continuously from the tank. Serious safety hazard if I had not caught it. I went and talked to my local Generac reseller service center and was told they are 1 to 1.5 months backlogged but go ahead and drop it off, and of course he had never run across this issue before. Will I be buying another Generac product again…… NEVER. And for you wondering why I don’t give them a second chance…. this was their second chance. I had bought a smaller generator about 10 years ago for emergency use only. It only got started every 3 months and ran for an hour. I changed the oil and as it was draining out I saw aluminum particles coming out with the oil. So it only had a few hours on it but the engine had deteriorated internally and was past the warranty so it was junk.

Overall I really like this unit. The electric start is great because I have my eldery parents & my sister living w/me and this makes this unit simple to operate. As for the generator runs wonderful & is about as loud as any other portable unit. My 2 complaints would be that the wheels are really cheap & the fit & finish on my unit were not the best in my opion . Also I have a generac cord and a 30 amp generac receptacle gen box as well which I love. Overall 4.8 stars!

I live on the east coast of Florida so need a good home backup generator when the power goes out. Power was out for two weeks after the last big hurricane. The GP7500E is an upgrade from the 5500 Watt generator that ran almost constantly during the two weeks power was out. I wanted to ensure the same performance so Generac was my choice.

I'm a dealer/ electrician in Massachusetts and honestly have had no problems with any of the (10) 6500w/e that i have received in the last few months. They are easy to assemble, start easily and with the large capacity tanks, they run all day long. I also like the free battery charger and built in jack. Great product!

We had a standby 12K natural gas backup generator from Generac in upstate NY and when we moved to eastern North Carolina we had nothing so we decided to go with a portable. Purchased the Generac 7600E (electric start) and had a electrician wire a 10 circuit panel into our house circuits. When the power goes out, we just plug the generator into the house circuits, start it and turn on the house circuits 1 at a time. Works wonderfully. My only wish is that the electric start battery system had a meter to tell the user how much voltage was left in the battery. Overall cost about $1500.

Its well made and heavy, but once the wheels are on its super easy to wheel around and easy to use . This is something every household should have, definitely would recommend it.
