GOT MY GENERATOR, HAD NOT BEEN FOR HAVING A CHAIN HOIST , DOUBT THAT I WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PUT WHEELS AND FOOT ASSEMBLY ON. SOME PARTS WERE MISSING SUCH AS WASHERS, NOT A BIG THING, ONE SPACER FOR THE WHEELS HAD TOO BE GRIND DOWN TO FIT. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN? ALL OTHERS THING WORKED , START UP ETC. HAVE NOT YET A CHANCE TO PUT IT TOO THE TEST UNTIL NEXT POWER OUTAGE. SO PERFORMANCE CANNOT BE COMMENTED ON. GENERATOR QUITE HEAVY BUT WAS ABLE TO PUSH AROUND IN SPITE OF MY AGE OF 65. UP HILL GRADES A DIFFERENT STORY.

I had a coleman powermate 6250w ran great. I hope this generator does as good or better than the coleman. The Generac is more powerful and more quite. The design is better and came with wheel ,handle kit, electric start, oil, 20A cord, and funnel. I'm impressed with the ease of functioning especially starting. The pull start is easy enough my wife started it only using one hand. The electric start works great as well the with just a push of button. I plan to use this generator to power my home in power outage. The coleman could not handle but small amount and wouldn't satisfy my wife. She wants hot bath and we have electric water heater and wants to cook on electric stove plus watch TV. I done lots of research and couldn't find another generator like generac. The new appliances are sensitive to THD level and generac is less than five percent. Generac noise level is low also has three year residential warranty. Where live in a rural area we have power outages a lot all times of the year. Winter time we have been without electric for two weeks solid snow and ice storm and bitter cold

I bought the GP7500E with electric start the night before storm Sandy hit NJ in 2012. I ran it 14-16h per day for 10 days without any issues. I did not follow any of the recommended maintenance such as oil change or drain the fuel tank when it was sitting outside for 5 years more or less unused. We then moved to CO and after getting off grid land in WY a decided to get it started. All fuel components except tank needed to be replaced including the carburetor. I replaced the spark plug and oil. After letting the carburetor get fuel for a few minutes it started on first pull! I replaced the battery and it start with just a short press on the start button. Only issue is the hour meter is now blank and shows to run hours. If the generator can take my misuse it can handle anything. I’m very pleased with it.

Ran generator for approx. 50 hrs. straight, except for re-fueling, during Hurricane Irene. It provided reliable power and saved us quite a bit of money by not having to replace food. Also provided comfort as it powered my central air conditioning with no trouble. Easy to set up and start. Acceptable noise level for size of unit. Does like gas!

We have had several power outages in our area due to different readons, mainly vehicles hitting power poles and a few bad thunderstorms. No wanting to wait hours to get power restored, we decided to get a generator. We chose the GP8000E and we are very happy with it. We were able to hook up our entire home to it using a transfer switch. We shut our main power to the house and turned the generator on and it worked like a charm! All of our lights came on, our refrigerator and furnace did great, and we even tried our A.C. unit. We are happy with it. Next time there is a power outage in our area, we will be ready for it! Bought this generator to replace the under powered, old and pretty beat one Iv'e been limping along for years. I live in the rural part of NY and depend on electricity for almost everything from water to heat. The crazy weather lately has taken out the power several times already this year. The 7500 will power everything with ease. With the electric start feature, I'm now spoiled. Great machine.

I've just received the generator last week and have tested it for about 10 minutes. It worked perfectly, but I'm yet to test it out in case of a loss of utility power over several days! Since I selected this model, I feel it will come through in powering up the essentials of the house with no problem.

The unpacking and assembly were well described and easy to complete with minimal mechanical skills. The engine started right up and power was immediately produced. I let the unit run for a few minutes and then checked the oil level and examined the unit for any leaks or other obvious issues but none were found. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a large portable generator for emergency or other short term uses.

I got a great price on the GP7500 (no electric start) so decided not to suffer through a power outage at the cottage again. It went together easily and my 13 year old started it with the first pull or two. haven't needed it yet, but I'm confident it will do the job well. One drawback is that I had expected it to run quieter.

The last hurricane that grazed central South Carolina sent everyone running to the generator stores. We live in the country with a well, horses and an aging mother living in the guest house. I bought an off-brand 7000w unit then the same day bought the Generac. I could see the engineering quality as I was readying it for its first start. We lost power, hooked up the Generac and forgot about the storm. Very, Very loud machine but it performed flawlessly. Never took the other off-brand unit out of its box so I returned it. We're buying a second Generac 8000e for our small business.
