Dependable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is hands down one of the most dependable brands of generators on the market! It can power multiple appliances at once! This saves you in the midst of hurricane season in Texas and is a staple!

Great Tri fuel generator

I bought this to run my whole house in case of another hurricane and we should lose our electricity. I have natural gas and it works just fine starting my HVAC and all other electric items when hooked to my gas line.

Terrible services for defective products

Unit was defected. No output power. None of authorized shop recommend can fix it. Could not refund to due to crazy FleetFarm policy. Running around for 2 weeks trying to get it fix. Loss $20 to drain gas not cover by warranty. Terrible experience. Don't recommend it.

Great Features

I bought the GP8000E to replace my Honda 7000 that was over 25 years old. The setup was relatively straight forward except for attaching the battery cables. When I unclipped the zip tie holding the battery leads for shipping, I didnt notice that the power connector for the starter had become disconnected, probably when I cut the zip tie. I called Generac Support as the electric start was not working and they had me check all the connections including the power connector for the starter. I connected it and the generator started right up. I've only had it for a month but I love it as its easy to operate.

First impression, this is heavy and more than I ne

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The generac 9500 is nice. However it is heavy, like 265 lbs. I thought I would be able to use it more but not a lot of opportunity at this point. It stays tucked in the garage. It does make some noise but not as load as my old air compressor. Overall I think it is a good product I just don’t have a lot of use for it. I requested it to see if this app would sent me something that big. Knowing Influenster will I will be more targeted in the future. Initial impressions on the 9500 are great. That being said I am not a hard use.

Great!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compact, reliable power. This GP9500E from Generac has a small footprint, yet packs some serious power. This is capable of running on gasoline, LP (propane) or natural gas. Rated at 12500 starting watts and 9500 running watts when running on gasoline. The 500cc OHV (over head valve) engine features electric start with the included battery, as well as the old school pull start just in case the battery or something fails. It holds 7.5 gallons of gasoline and will run 9.5 hours at 50%. There is an included 4 foot long LP adapter hose and a 20lb tank will run 4.5 hours under the same conditions. Propane will lower the output slightly at 11250 starting and 8550 running watts. If you run natural gas it lowers it to 9000 and 7000. The included handle and wheel kit makes it super easy to move it around when needed and the handle folds down to store neatly. There are many great features built in, such as covered outlets for added protection when being used in the elements, CO sense technology that will shut the machine down if CO levels get too high and a low oil l cel shutdown that will stop the engine if it detects low oil to save the engine from damage. It is also compatible with HomeLink manual transfer switch kit to help power your home in the event of a power outage. This is especially helpful at our house as we have a well and when the power goes out, there is no water. So this adds peace of mind in those situations. Setup was simple with the included directions, which are also printed on the top flap of the box. Everything you need aside from a couple of very basic tools is included as well. The front panel contains an hour meter to keep track of how much use the machine has had. When running this is on the quiet side for a machine of this size. I am extremely pleased with this generator. From the ease of setup to the ease of use this generator is awesome.

Came just in time for Hurricane Season!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really very pleased with this generator. We live on a South Carolina barrier island and we can get hammered during hurricane season. I love that it can run on Gasoline, Liquefied Petroleum Gas or Natural Gas and you can switch between them. It has a large capacity fuel tank and extended run time. The delivery guy was super complimentary of this specific model and Generac in general. This gives us such a sense of security, knowing if a storm knocks our electricity out we’ll still be able to run the fridge, lights, tv, electric range, etc. 9500 running watts with gas is more than enough to keep us comfortable. We lost hundreds of dollars in food last season plus, it was SOOO hot. I’m glad we won’t have to go through that again. It’s easy to set up and easy to use. The fact that it’s portable is super convenient, the wheels and handles make it easy to move around. I can move it easily, so can my 71 year old mom. Our handyman says he wants one for working contracting jobs. COsense® Technology gives protection against carbon monoxide. The electric start is a really nice touch. This model has so many nice features, it’s a really wonderful unit and the feeling of security makes me wish we got one a long time ago

Poor Warranty Assistance

Purchased this portable generator, had a problem with it after 15 min. of running.. Called for assistance and No One would come to my house to repair it. They only would come if it was a standby generator. I like Generac Products but my was 450 pounds and I could not service it myself. Plus it was under warranty.
