Bought it today, have it 3 ft from me as I'm writing this and I can hardly feel any heat at all I have the temperature turned up to 85 The fan on it to high which is not really a high setting. Anyway just very upset very let down it's garbage if you have a closet you want to heat it's probably perfect for that.

I had been a loyal customer of Lasko heaters for over 20 years and was sadly disappointed with this purchase … 1st because of not receiving batteries for my remote … but the disappointment that made me return my heater … I couldn’t even open the remote to install the batteries that I had to purchase … since I will be 70 this year, having to drive to Sam’s Club, get on a riding cart, put the heater in the cart so I could take it to Customer Service definitely added to my disappointment—frustration! …

I bought this heater less than a year ago. Last season it worked fine, and stayed untouched in the back of the closet until this month. The second night of using it in my daughters bedroom, the entire house smelled like burnt plastic. The top of the heating element started melting completely through the back plastic of the unit. (Yes, the metal heater was protruding out the back of the heater at least a couple inches). I have 3 kids. If one of them touched this, it would have resulted in electrical shock and severe burns. If we had gone to sleep, our house would have been on fire, and it would have killed our daughter. STOP SELLING THIS PRODUCT IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT BUY!!!! I hope the company contacts me so I can send pictures, and the unit model and serial number. This thing will kill someone.

Horrible and barely blows

We have had the portable heaters for years. New design is better Lasko is a good value
