I bought this unit a year ago for use during the dry winter months. Worked fine last winter. This winter was doing ok until about three weeks ago when the "on" button turned red and the unit turned off. I have been cleaning it every time it needed cleaning (about every five nights) with the vinegar mix recommended. I have not used distilled water, but nothing indicated this was required. Unfortunately, there are no instructions on what to do when this happens. So, I throw this expensive thing away?

I have been using this HoMedics UV-C humidifier for a couple of weeks now and it works extremely well. It is compact, attractive, and silent and puts out a fine cool mist. I purchased this model because it has the UV-C light to sanitize it. Highly recommended.

It has a Tray on the side for essential oils, and has different settings for the run time. It has a light that can be turned on, which can serve as a night light. It’s also has cool mist.

We just started using this in my infants room when we had some cold nights and you can definitely tell a difference when the humidifier is on. The air just feels so much easier to breathe. I really like the fact that I don’t have to take this apart to fill the reservoir. We just turn on at night and let it run until it shuts off the next day. I would say that 45 hours of run time seems exaggerated, it’ max 2 nights but with the ease of filing it’s no big deal. The UV light is nice that it keeps everything clean while also doubling as a nightlight!

I use the UV-C Ultrasonic Humidifier an night to help me with breathing better when I sleep. I can REALLY tell a difference! My nose is not as dry in the morning and my chest is not as congested.

I brought this to my office and i can see a different with my skin and not getting that scratchy throat in the winter. If you are on the fence let this be your sign to buy!

Purchased April 2024. Used it for a couple months, and then cleaned it out and left it until December 2024 when we started using it again. The unit we use less is still working, but the one we use in our main bedroom is no longer putting out any mist. We followed the directions for cleaning, but are still not getting any output. Not sure what to do now. When it was working, it worked well and was simple to use. If we can figure out how to get it working again, I will be pleased with the units.

It's very easy to fill with water and has a pretty big reservoir. It makes a lot of "steam" and comes all ready to go. I definitely recommend this for all dry seasons
