Member's Mark USDA Prime Angus Beef Filet Mignon, priced per pound

These "tenderloin" steaks look and taste more like sirloin. Don't be confused these are not filet mignon cut steaks!

Ok, but not great, and not as expected.

My bad for buying the filets twice. Both times when turned over had home was nothing but fat and silver skin in the bottom. It’s horrible to pay that much money for fat. Butchers need to be taught to cut meat instead of charge for fat. Will never buy filets here again.

Filets not filleted!

These were so good. I grilled for 5 minutes on each side and they were medium-rare. They were so delicious and like totally melted in your mouth. All I used was a little SPG (salt, pepper, garlic) and a salt-free steak seasoning. Melted a slice of butter on them right after I pulled them off the grill. You woulda thought you died and went to heaven, they were so good.
