Prior to installing these tires, my vehicle hydroplaned several times, even at fairly low speeds, when the road was only moderately wet. My previous tires were only a year old, but I replaced them with these Michelins, due to the poor traction. That was 2 years ago and I haven't hydroplaned since, no matter what the weather conditions or driving speed. Additionally, these Michelins have been left on year-round during that time. They perform great in mud, rain and snow, both on the highway, and off-road. They've also been used extensively in hot, dry weather at highway speeds. I've driven across the country on them twice, and they still don't show any excessive wear. These are good safe tires, and the price was more than fair, considering the safety and function they've provided.

Sometimes it takes awhile to realize there are products that paying alittle extra for up front return far greater value AND performance over the long term. Michelin LTX M/S - LTX M/S2 tires examplify that truth. After several sets of supposedly "quality" 6-ply tires for our Suburban used to pull our Airstream trailer and having a tread separate on the last set while towing at 55 mph on a very not day in northern California, we installed Michelin LTX M/S tires and have nothing but good things to say. First the Michelin tires DO NOT LOSS AIR PRESSURE between our trips like the previous "quality" tires did. Second the Michelin tires are more round AND required minimum wheel weights to balance. Thus the ride quality is far superior to the previous "quality" tires. Third even running the same 75 or 80 psi as done previousily with the other "quality" tires in the rears on the Suburban, the stability of the Michelin's is far superior. Bottom line, I have recommended Michelin to all that will listen in our Airstream group and many are making the switch as I did. FYI we recently purchased an Yukon XL to replace the aged Suburban with over 200,000 miles and had the new LTX M/S2's installed. I have A set of LTX MS TIRES on my pickup, The second set to be exact. These are the only tire I will ever us on this truck which has over 250,000 miles on it. These tires have handled everything that I thrown at them. I also have A set of Michelin's on my van. I will not buy any other brand of tire's for my vehicle's. they are the "BEST".

I have used other brands of tires in the past and they haven't lasted as long as the Michelin's. I had them on my 1994 S-10 4WD Blazer and they lasted seven years for me and they will last probably another year or two for the person that I sold it too this past summer. Michelin tires seem to be the best for sidewall stability and long tread life. I will buy some again soon when I can save up enough money for the LTX M/S^2 LT285/70/R17 for my Expedition.

From the first drive these tires have been very quiet and absorbing the tar strips and bumps in the road. Looking forward to how they perform in the snow. Ratings ask about taks that have not been tested yet, such as safety. I haven't had to do a panic stop or heavy rain.

Bought these Defender LTX M/S for my 14' Subaru Forester 2.5 i , upon recommendation from my local smaller dealer and research ,Is when we decided to up size from 225-60-R17 99H to 225-65-R17 102H so we could get to the Defender LTX M/S vs the Defender T+H, A great decision// for added Tire performance for traction, wet weather traction & braking, snow traction and mixed conditions in the Mid Atlantic region and into W Va travels. Only went with 4++ stars due to only 12k on a 70,000 rated tire is rerasonable and more in line of the performance thus far Yes i have lost about 1-1.5 mpg around town but the performance in handling, stopping and traction improvement locally but also on trips has been noticeable and appreciated. Also about maybe 1 mpg lost on trips has been worth it ,for all the other features we have gained by going with this size and model of Defender. The handling of our Forester has been improved from the OEM Yokahamas 2yrs 24,000 and the P7 All season Plus tires that only game me 32,600 miles for 60,000 mile tire. I rotate these tires every 6,000 miles and having put 12K on them thus far there is no wear noticed. Given the size & gross wt of our Forester SUV , lends to a lighter handling vehicle esp in mixed and snow ; we have gained better driving and performance for this type of SUV which has increased the value to us for our vehicle. I would recommend considering these tires, again I am very pleased with the greater aspect of the tires and getting into the Defender LTX M/S model I plan on updating this review when i get another 12k or on the tire Mark Va

These tires have gone 72,000 miles and I am currently debating buying new ones even though my mechanic says I am nuts and will probably get at least another 20,000 out of them.I have nothing but tremendous praise for the Michelin engineers . I have been buying Michelin tires exclusively for over 28 years and have to say as a former tire salesman , NOTHING BEATS A MICHELIN !!!!!!!

2018 Frontier PRo-4x. Replaced OEM tires with these since i am not a true off roader, and mainly on highway. I picked up 2mpg+ with these. Rolling resistance is awesome, stopping ,and more importantly cornering is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY better. Great road Manners. Slightly stiffer than the softwall off road tires i had. But these work just nice. not to mention, they can go to 80psi???? WOW... NOT that iw ould do that. My first set was bad, the dealer did a warranty claim, and as soon as i rolled out i knew right away how great these were. Makes the truck more of a nice commuter truck now, with the ability to "trucK" when needed. I really do enjoy these, and the improved gas mileage is with the AC on all the time soo, so perhaps 3mpg or so improvement.... This replacement set used way less weights, and again these tires really do look so nice. Gives the truck an upscale "gentlemans" look if you get my point. GREAT road manners, it's still a truck, but GREAT road manner improvements.

I've got 37 thousand miles on mine and plenty of tread left. The around town miles are pretty easy, but each weekend these tires see at least a hundred miles of Idaho back country dirt roads in the summer and plenty of snowy trips to the ski hill in the winter. A good bit of that is in 4WD, in places where you want the security of a high quality tire.

I have used Michelin tires on all of my vehicles both passenger cars and light trucks. Their performance in the rain and snow are exceptional. On the highway they are quiet and very responsive to road hazards. From an economic standpoint, these tires last for many miles thus the cost per mile is very low. I always recommend Michelin.
