Excellent!

Big difference between a good dark roast and burnt. This one had a distinct burnt taste.  Also didn't like the burnt after taste either.  Did a taste test with my favorite dark roast, Myorga Muy Mucho.  I much preferred Muy Mucho. 
Won't buy this one again.

Sumatra

I am not a coffee snob, but this lacks flavor. I tried grinding different ways and brewing at different strengths, still lacking flavor. This is what my family calls colored water.

Not worth money

Rich smooth coffee. It is difficult to give an objective review regarding the taste of anything. That being said it is a quality coffee which I found to be rich in flavor, not bitter.  I believe this is what can be expected of a Sumatra coffee.  I was coming from a few months of a Honduran coffee blend which had more complex flavors of chocolate and berries and at first, I missed that complexity. A few mornings of this Sumatra and I grew to appreciate its more subtle but rich and smooth qualities.  As with any good coffee, grind, brew within the SCA Golden Cup recommendations, and consume within 30 minutes.
