Great streaming box

I love it because the quality and my tv runs so smooth with it and it has a better way of using a remote control

Does not handle pixelation on Tablo or HDhomerun well. Would not recommend for DVR use. Google TV handles it better but I can not stand Google TV.

Apple TV is great. I have used all platforms and have settled here. A bit more expensive up front, but the experience is worth it.

I always love an Apple product. Easy to install. Easy to set up. Automatically connected to my network and with all of my other Apple products.

Can never go wrong with Apple product changing my grandmother from fire stick to an apple box it’s gonna be

Remote quit working

Being an Apple guy, I of course have to use the Apple TV. I’ve had the HD, the Gen 1 4K, and now the new Gen 3 4K. The newest Gen 3 4K is fast, colors look better, the SIRI remote is great. For someone who mainly watches streaming services, and is already an Apple user, you should get this as your OTT streamer.

I had the xfinity set top box and all of the apps were super laggy. Netflix, paramount , peacock you name it. It was horrible. Decided to dive deeper into the Apple ecosystem with this and it was worth it! All the apps run smooth and it even has xfinity stream app so I can still use my dvr and watch my channels so that’s a plus. Definitely worth the $

First impressions from a Roku and Fire TV user Remote control High quality material, but shape, size and sharp edges make it a lot less comfortable than Roku’s. The touch circle is too sensitive, but I expect to get used to it soon. Software, Navigation, Menus I find Roku’s menus more intuitive and easier to use right out of the box. I also expect to get used to Apple’s soon. Hardware I ordered this version by mistake expecting it to have an Ethernet port. It works well enough via WiFi once it’s streaming, but I still think that loading times would be faster with the Ethernet connection (in my 1 GB LAN). So, I have also ordered the version with the Ethernet port, but I have not received it yet. We shall see. The $20 price difference is small enough to prefer the upgraded version, given that it also has more memory (which may not make a difference for me) and other home-hub features (which I’d need to explore).
