I love using my apple tv because it is so user friendly. I'm also an apple fanatic so that helps. The remote is the best part - it is a major upgrade from the earlier versions. Super easy to set up, just basically plug in and go. Especially easy if you have an iphone because you can open your phone and it sets it up for you.

For those who have an iPhone or iPad. An Apple TV is a great addition. What’s to like? About an Apple TV? If you have a smart tv and a streaming service such as Sling TV and a HDMI external speaker connected to your tv you will be able to use the Apple TV remote control for all your streaming TV functions. TV on/off, volume/mute and channel guides and changes. With Sling TV accessing local channels (ABC,NBC,…) will still require your TV remote for some functions.

Upgraded to Apple TV as an old Roku (2018 model) could not connect to 5ghz wifi and the picture was pixilated using Spectrum app. Decided to go with Apple TV pixilated images are gone. I have also played with some apps that Roku does not have like Steam Link with a ps5 controller. Seemed to work well. My only complaint is the touch pad on the remote is very sensitive. Recommend moving it to slowest setting.

If you own an iPhone, you are missing out if you don’t also have this Apple TV streaming device. It’s more than just Roku or Chromecast. It makes most apps way more robust. You get multi screens and features that you don’t normally see on the other streaming services . Plus, you can access your entire iTunes library and all the photos on your phone to view on your TV You can also make a FaceTime call from your TV, which is great for my weekly family FaceTime call .

If you’re like me, and got tired of dealing with buggy and slow streaming boxes like what Roku and Google offer. Then, Apple TV is for you. The interface is quick and simple to navigate. Even my grandparents had no trouble learning how to use it. All the popular streaming apps are available. You can even game on it with Apple Arcade apps. The price is high compared to the competition. However, it’s worth it. Considering the build quality. The Apple TV and controller are made of quality metals and good hardware. No cheap plastics and slow hardware like with Roku. The biggest issues I do have, is that Apple did not include an HDMI cable. HDMI cables are not expensive. Apple is just being cheap like with their iPhones not including chargers anymore. Also, I don’t understand why the Ethernet port was removed from the base model Apple TV. It’s baloney that you have to pay $20 more just to have a feature that used to be included on every previous Apple TV regardless of price.

Almost perfect. The hardware works great. The parental controls are good with a couple of exceptions. Just get rid of the preview at the top that doesn’t allow me to control what comes across my screen. And no, moving the app isn’t sufficient, teenagers can move them right back. Also, need to add pin option to access each app. Then you get 5 stars.

My internet speed literally cut in half after getting this ATV up and running. I went through all of the device settings and disabled so many unnecessary features that would normally be considered bandwidth intrusive. I reconfigured various display features to the lowest setting. No matter what changes were made to raise my download and upload speeds back up, nothing I did made any difference. This ATV continued to use large amounts of bandwidth even though the family was not even watching anything on it. On top of this, it forced me to manually login to this device every time I turned it on. Furthermore, it struggled to stay connected to the Amazon Fire TV even sitting right next to it. Overall, a very unexpected experience. My heart was set on this new change after watching so many others share their stories.

Without this, getting to a channel on youtube TV, on a turned off smart TV with the apple tv app, requires 6-7 button pushes. With it, two. Streaming from a MacBook is a breeze. Now, if I could just find the clicker! Of course, Apple has way in their "find my" app.

Love everything about it compared to others. This has great quality, ability to access, music, movies, and add news channels to your liking. I am also able to download the fireplace, which is an app so that I can change two different fireplaces, such as the beach, or other areas on the main screen. Huge fan of this Apple TV, I had no idea it was so intuitive and I’ll say this that if you have already started using the Mac environment, whether for a computer laptop or iPhone, this is definitely a purchase you should consider. we use it in our dining room hooked up to a TV that we put a picture frame around and one of my favorite things is that the screensaver automatically can pull from your eye photos and will show a rolling slideshow of some of your favorite shots and always is a good talking piece during meals for our family as we reminisce about fun experiences, we’ve had . There are other products that offer similar services and are hundreds of dollars at least . Beyond that, Some of my favorite features include the ability to quickly tap the button on the side to use Siri to go to the next episode or quickly fast-forward or rewind things while watching also to quickly do a YouTube search or open an app. Also clutch because when watching YouTube, you can have Siri skip the commercials via voice, which is something that my Xbox doesn’t allow with Amazon Alexa integration. It also is great for mirroring iPhone or computer screens to quickly show someone something without having them to have to look directly at your phone screen. This comes in handy when casting meme and TikTok videos when you have friends over. Or when looking at hotel amenities when looking at vacation spots etc. The only downside I really have all considered is that the little Apple TV controller is very sensitive and if you spill anything on it, it may stop working very well. (Beware children) Also, very hard to find if not placed exactly where you know it needs to be so while having kids, this can be challenging, so I would also recommend purchasing one of these little glow-in-the-dark Sleeves so that you can try to keep your eye on it. Only downside of the controller is that it does not show you an indicator light when it’s charging which I find kind of silly. But those small inconveniences don’t even come close to bringing this down from a five star review. if you’re even considering this and already use the Mac environment, you absolutely will not regret it I promise.
