Should’ve known better

The tree was larger than expected and arrived quickly, however, every leaf had been eaten by some kind of insect and there appeared to be some type of fungus. It was dehydrated, but that was expected. This was very disappointing.

Not looking promising

Wish i could give another half star. I received this tree at the beginning of the summer, unfortunately after pollination, so all but one of the baby peaches had fallen off the branches in shipping. There were, however, 16 peaches! The tree itself looked great though, about 4 feet, healthy looking, and packaged fantastically - meant for extreme shipping. The one peach that made it was delicious, hands down. I don’t know if it’s been post fruiting recovery, but there’s been no further growth over the summer and nearly all of the leaves have fallen off. I’m not used to that at all. I’m a seasoned grower and plant delivery recipient, and also have another peach tree in the garden...this doesn’t look good. It’s been a mild summer (VA) so I’m a little confused/disappointed. I’ll be the first to acknowledge shipping and transplants stress the heck out of plants, especially mid- and post-lifecycle, but I think this little guy’s taking it hard. I’ve done everything to ease the transition, but the jury’s still out. The terminal and axillary buds look about 50/50 viable, so....I think I’ll just have to wait until Spring to know for sure.

We’ll see…

The box on the tree was open, I mean all the way open. The pot was dented and the tree looked worn for the wear. I did the scratch test and saw green so that was a relief. Unfortunately, I was expected a tree that looked a little fuller based on the photos I saw from other people. I am hopeful the tree will fill out over time. I was going to order another one but I am going to hold off for now.

Beautiful, Healthy Trees!!

My experience had been that these trees are of high quality. One thing that I suggest to everyone…make sure you are home when these trees/plants are delivered! They arrive in a large/long cardboard box and the plastic bucket that holds the soil and tree roots are in a plastic bag. If your delivery carrier leaves it in direct sun, the tree will ‘cook’ inside the box in a short time. I had that happen and the tree was damaged. If you are able to, talk to your delivery person about LEAVING THE BOX IN FULL SHADE! I was successful returning it to Sam’s (they were friendly and helpful during the return). Bring your proof of purchase/payment with you!

disappointed :(

This tree arrived with some kind of fungal or bacterial disease. I tried to just take it like a champ and fix it but the leaves wilted off and then I was left with a bare tree that hasn’t grown new leaves in a couple weeks and has turned brown…I’m so disappointed

Amazing

The tree weighs 15 pounds. It arrived via FedX, fully enclosed in a box. The soil was extremely moist and the spring leaves were emerging. I almost immediately opened it and my son removed the plastic that the pot was enclosed and fixed in and placed it in the full sun. I am going to try to grow it in a much larger - 22 to 25 inch nursery pot. The shipment seems to have been from Georgia and took about a day and a half to get here to Louisiana. It seems to be excellent. Thus far, I am super happy with the purchase. I don’t know much about the tree but hope to become an expert! Hope my review answers the questions you have which might be concerning you. I was iffy on it myself but I “took a shot at it” given the great price point. Forty buck for the tree and to your door delivery? Phenomenal!

Wrong info in product specs

I purchased this tree expecting it to be in full dormancy. I was very pleased with what arrived. It is a beautiful tree. That is the only reason I gave it a 3. They don't tell you which nursery it is coming from. Points were deducted because Sam's listed it as 5b to 8 for zone. I should have done a search on the variety and verified it. I looked up the nursery it arrived from and they listed its hardiness zone as 7 and up. I don't know how well it will do here as I'm in 6a. I will be planting it in a few days and we will see if it can survive my climate. I mat have to wrap it to survive the cold.

Very Healthy Flordaking Peach Tree!

We ordered this Flordaking Peach Tree on Thursday, April 14th and it arrived today which is Wednesday, April 20th. I was surprised to find a 6' tall box that says "Live Plant." I opened it at much to my surprise, this peach tree fills the entire box! It has leaves and looks very healthy. It also came with information tucked inside a plastic sleeve. It says to let it rest for 24hours prior to planting. Keep it inside an unheated basement or garage before transplanting to prevent shock. I am so excited to get it planted. I would order a second tree, but they are now sold out. Order this as soon as it's available so you don't miss out.
