I purchased 4 tires ( pilot sport a/s ) and currently have less than 20k on them. Though I'm happy with the traction the tread life is extremely poor. The wife drives very passively and was able to wear them down to the bone. The warranty was not honored because the tires were only rotated once.

I purchased these tires as replacement for the OEM Michelin Pilots on my 2012 Civic Si Coupe. The OEM's only had 12,000 miles but the lack of performance, especially in rain or snow, had me looking elsewhere. I had an '07 Si coupe with Conti DWS, which outperformed the OEM's on my '12, and did consider them, but am glad I opted for the AS/3's. The performance in snow over the past week has been exceptional, much better than the DWS and far superior to the OEM's. I had no trouble driving through 8.5" of wet snow on Monday, 4" of powder last week, and plowed through about 10" of snow / slush / ice encountered in various areas during my drive this morning. Dry performance is great, although not as good as the Pilot Exalto's which were OEM on my '07. Wet performance is very good, the tires are minimally phased by standing water. Note that my Si's both have limited slip differentials, which certainly contributes to performance during inclement weather. I now have approximately 3,500 miles on the AS/3's, and could not be more pleased with my purchase.

Purchased 2014-Apr-05. Run alternating seasons with winter tires in Interior B.C. Just had my winters put on with a cumulative summer kms @ 15,822 km. BCAA advised me I have one season left with my summer tires (the Pilot Sport A/S 3 235/55R18). Even worse than the OEM Yokahamas which lasted 49,829 km. Running on a 2008 RAV4 Sport.

Purchased tires after reading all the websites and they sounded perfect. They did do a great job through the winter, but after 10k two tire need replaced, and 4k later the other two. Car was aligned at purchase, and tire were rotated at the next oil change. I wish I could say my wife races ever weekend, but just back and forth to work. The OEM tires made to 40k.

I'VE ONLY DRIVEN THESE TIRES ABOUT 1,000 MILES IN THE 6 WEEKS I'VE HAD THEM, ON DRY, WET AND SNOW COVERED ROADS IN MY AUDI S5 CABROLET. THE RIDE IS QUIET AND THE PERFORMANCE IS VERY GOOD. TRACKING IS VERY GOOD ON TURNS AND THE TIRE IMPARTS A FEELING OF CONFIDENCE WHEN ACCELERATING AND BRAKING IN ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS.

Superb tire; installed on a 2011 Acura RL. The car handles tigther, the tire noise is less than stock, and wet/winter traction is great. The tire further improves the AWD nature of the RL as opposed to the stock tires. Fuel Economy is identical as the OEM tire.

There is a reason why these tires were listed as one of the best (and often top rated) by most of the recognized tire rating sources. They provide excellent handling, ride comfort and braking. We noticed these attributes just after they were installed and have been pleased with these tires for the last 4 months. It is too soon to comment on tread life, but the published test results are positive.

Michelin has always been in the family and seeing how they came up with the Pilot Sport A/S 3's just made it better to stay with Michelin tires. I switched my RFT and I'm going on a couple of thousand miles now. So far the ride is 100 times better! I have a luxury car and I went from feeling like I was off roading to having a nice smooth ride. Curse those RFT! Luckily, my old RFT came with the car and I didn't spend twice I would of if I did get the RFT again. We do a lot of driving since family is far and coming home the ride is so smooth that when my family is asleep they don't even notice all the bumps and road noise. The new A/S 3s are a better ride, the handling is great, the road noise is not an issue anymore and I do save more gas than I did before. The look of the tires are great and the feel is what I was looking for. Overall, I would put the A/S 3s again once I'm up for new tires again unless they come up with A/S 4s which would be great. I drive a 2006 Mercedes E350 sedan. I had the old Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires on her and, I purchased the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's, three weeks ago, and have put close to 2,000 miles on them. I got them at the right time because it started to rain here in Northern California, for several days and was able to drive through various wet weather road conditions, from pouring rain, to standing water on the freeway. These tires handled beautifully at speeds of 75 mph on the freeway (I like to drive fast). The contact on the wet road was superb, I had complete control. When the weather dried the stickiness of the tires are outstanding as you go around curves and the braking astounding. I must also add that these are extremely quieter compared to the Pilot Sport A/S, I am happy for that a noise reduction of at least 90% compared to the old tires, very noticeable. I would recommend these for any Mercedes owner.

I've had these AS3s for 6,000 miles and find them to be excellent with high grip in dry and wet condition and they have increased my handling substantially but have caused a 3-4 mpg drop in fuel economy. The fuel economy has destroyed my love of the rest of the tire's attributes. I'm trying to unload mine asap now.
