I bought the Defender LTX to replace a set of XLT A/S for my GMC Sierra that were 10 years old but still had great tread left on them. If I get the same level of wear on these new ones, I will be very happy. Michelin has never let me down.

Best tire you can ever purchase for family or any other kind of use. Tire is great in rain, snow and dry weather. Handling is great, breaking awesome, nice and quiet tire. No words to describe how good it is.

well this is the first time me using Michelin tires and I think they're great tires they're holding up to my standards so far I haven't had a problem and they're some of the best I could get.

I've had Michelin Defenders on my last four trucks and all of them had long life, extremely high tread life, were very durable, towed with each and NEVER left me stranded. As a matter of fact, I've never had a flat or leak with Michelins thus I replace the factory set on my new trucks as soon as I purchase the truck. The comfort of the ride is always improved by the Michelins and peace of mind is guaranteed with every Michelin I've purchased in my life.

Even though I just installed them and can't give you mileage or longevity yet, I am impressed with these tires. I have used them for 1 month and we have seen heavy rain, no hydroplaning, snow and ice storms, no slippage and mainly ground grip on hilly descents. They have behaved quite well in the elements. They also run very smooth and quiet, and I feel like my vehicle handles quite well with these tires. I drive frequently so it's only been 1 month but I've already put about 1000 miles on them and have no complaints. I'll add it to my review when I've gotten a little more use out of them and update their performance at that time. So far, so good. If you are looking for a good set, I tell you not to be indecisive, play it safe with Michelin tires, buy these. I am convinced that these tires will prove their worth for a long time... and I will buy again if/when necessary...! There are many tires, many cheaper, but the quality and price of a good tire, you can't go wrong.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got these Michelin Defender LTX M/s2 tires to go our family's 2019 Toyota Sequoia. We were running on a different brand of tires but will have to admit that these tires give us quite a comfortable ride! They don't look quite as rugged as ones we've had but if these will last as long as they're rated for them I'll be more than happy.

Mitch defender LTX MS2 A 75000 mile warranty. WOW!! The tread dept is totally awesome....The old bias ply L series tire is where you might come close to this tread depth. Instantly noticed a smoother ride and a lot more stability. Railroad tracks were lots better. Stopping distance is much shorter than with my previous tires.

I purchased these tires after 6 years and 30k miles on my Michelin Defender LTX M/S. I was a little leery with the UTQG Traction rating dropping to B from the previous A but with tread life listed similarly and great previous performance, I gave them a shot. I've driven 2,500 miles before posting the review. The M/S2 are fantastic on dry pavement and dissipate water very well. Unfortunately, around 35 F they become noticeably harder and break free much easier on cold or wet pavement compared to the previous M/S. With that, my initial assumption is that they have worse performance but herein lies the paradox. While they don't seem great getting moving and break free easy on acceleration, they seem hold true and stop well once in motion. Snow performance is similar to the aforementioned, but again cornering is fairly steady until acceleration is applied. The truck will still go where it's intended, but with considerably more wheel spin than the previous M/S in 2H. MPG appears to be comparable between the 113T SL M/S and 117T XL M/S2. Both ride quiet and have good feel when braking. They have a good look but not overly aggressive and don't pick up too many rocks. I would 100% recommend these for those who rarely experience snow or cold but would probably stick to swapping these out for Michelin Ice X for the cooler or snow filled months or plan to use full time AWD and the possibility of reduced tread life due to the additional slipping.

I have 51000 miles on my f 150 truck tires Michelin 275/60r20. They look almost new with plenty of tread remaining. Smooth,noise free riding tire. No uneven wearing,no flats, always maintained air pressure. Rotated every 6,000 miles. Very pleased with performance.

When ordering a new GMC, I read as many tire reviews as I could find. The Michelin Defender LTX M/S generation 2 was receiving rave reviews. After a lifetime of burning through all brands of tires on a variety of sports cars, trucks and passenger cars, experience has taught me to stick with Michelin. And these new Gen 2 offerings were the best performing truck tire for the road, bar none. They also had the best warranty. They are more than adequate for light off roading and boat ramps, but on the road are the smoothest and quietest tires I hae had on any truck. I've run everything, from road tires to All Terrains to Mud tires, even installing non radial tires on a swamp buggy I owned. (Safer when airing down for very rugged conditions off road-Florida is 90% sugar sand and like 10% mud, so All Terrains and M/S tires generally do better on most conditions. The ride after installing thee tires is WAY better than any others I've used. The tires are so quiet I initially was hesitant while towing. But the traction is excellent off road with the sipes on the side and the generally self cleaning tread. More importantly, handling in bad weather and wet braking are all excellent. High speed travel on the interstate is very quiet and composed, just like a passenger cars tire. The occasional road trash and a couple poorly laid curbs and damaged asphalt have caused no damage, as the tires stayed in balance and showed no punctures or cuts. I do make a point of rotating every oil change an remove any stuck gravel or debris every time I wash the truck. I have automotive engineers in the family who advise running 80% of the max pressure on the sidewall and this has yielded very long tread life. I have absolutely no complaints and when my youngest son returns from college I will be putting Defenders on his Nissan as well. These tires cost a little more than average but give you much longer tread life and superior handling and braking. There are many good tires on the market but Michelin generally excels in every category for most people. When in doubt, just get Michelin. There is a reason why my company only used Michelin on the truck fleet when I was i the trades. This particular model is another win for Michelin.
