Half of the pears were rotten inside

All of the pears were firm and nice looking. When I cut open the first one it was fine and nearly ripe. The rest were a 50/50 chance of being okay or having a brown rotten core. This was true even though the outsides still looked okay. I could not tell from the outside of the pear or squeezing it if it was going to be a good one or a bad one. I cut them all open. On those which were rotted, the rot itself had spread to about 2/3 of the flesh which made them unusable. We ended up throwing about half of the pears away due to the rot. I would not recommend this product.

Pears

I ordered mine delivered, so when they picked a fresh one, they are green and tasty. However, I often receive a box of yellowish, “matured” ones, and those doesn’t last a day before turning brown. So I recommend picking these up instead of getting them delivered.

pears had giant pits in them!

First pear was wonderfully delicious... Next 2 pirates had crazy large pits in the center! Actually chipped my tooth! I've never in my 64 years seen anything like it! Pears have tiny seeds in the core. Took them back to Sam's club. Guest service couldn't believe them either! I googled it.... says from a plant that's diseased

Bartlet pears are the best

The pears that were out for sale were soft and rubbery I did not purchase them on my last visit they looked as if they had been sitting there for a Long time some were over ripe in the past though the pears have been wonderful slightly green ripen them at home very sweet and delicious

OVER RIPE PEARS!!!!!!

The Bartlett pears that Sams used to sell are better. They came in a bag and were not exposed to the hot humid air in the club. These pears now in the open carton are already over ripe when you take them home. You have a day to eat these pears then they spoil. A wasted purchase!!

We love these pears!

Delicious and juicy and very flavorful. I usually steam half of them while they're firm for my toddler, they taste like poached pears when steamed without the added sugar. The other half rippen on the counter and we eat them as is. They're better than the Harry and David pears that my family sends us every Christmas.

Green, forever green, Pears

Left these out in a cool garage so they wouldn't all ripen at once, and brought two into the house to ripen. 8 days later one of those 'house' pears hadn't changed color or softened so gave it a try--hard as a rock and no flavor! 3 days after that, gave the second 'house' pear another try (even though it still hadn't changed color or softened either) and it was just as as hard and tasteless as the first! What do they spray these with to ensure they don't ripen??

What A Disappointment

One pear had dark spots. The others were beautiful. All were hard, so I waited a few days to use to make a pie. Every pear was rotten at the center at minimum. Some were total brown mush. If I purchase pears again, I will cut into them immediately.
