did a curbside pickup and received lettuce that was already going bad

I haven't purchased this before, so I didn't know what to expect. This lettuce was so bitter tasting that it ruined the entire large salad that I made. I couldn't bring myself to use the rest of it, so I threw it away.

Since there are just two of us, I brought two to our neighbor. The other 4 stayed so fresh and crunchy, love it! I was afraid we would have to throw some out, but this romaine is something else!

Today, 2/9, I picked up my Sam's order which included this pack of lettuce. The date on the package (Presumably the packaging date is 1/29. The lettuce is yellow and wilted. I don't recommend this product. Very disappointed.
