It smelled fresh. I am on Weight Watchers and this was only one point per stick which makes for a great snack.

I bought the house brand due to them being out of the name brand. The cheese is ediblem, but not good. it has a plastic texture, not much flavor, and leaves a weird aftertaste. Everyone in the family instantly complained about how they didnt like them and asked that I would not buy them again. Edible, but not very good.

The cheese sticks break apart well, but not in small strings as some other string cheeses do. Nonetheless, this was great for a quick snack that both me and my kids enjoyed pulling apart. The taste is very good and you wouldn't know this is a "Light" version of a cheese, as it tastes identical to mozzarella. This is a great option to choose as a quick snack or pack with your lunch.
