Hashbrowns

These hash browns from the states Sams Clubs are great. Breakfast choices on the island of Puerto Rico are very limited. Roadside street food venders closed up by the hundreds after the storm. Someone could start a business primarily using these hash brown potatoes. Since trying the product in the states, I know it is great value and quality, do were it available in the Clubs here, new roadside street vendors would be successful. Sam Walton is a hero of mine and what he did for small businesses in America. Many plan on using all the services provided for businesses at the island Club locations.

Tried for first time and family loves :)

We just tried these for the first time. You soak your dehydrated potatoes for 12-15 minutes & then pan fry them. So good and very tasty. We love breakfast suppers when nothing else sounds better. ;) This is a perfect side to any meal. Enjoying these! :)

Amazing and wonderful!!!!!

I was skeptical about buying potatoes that were dehydrated, but let me tell you, they are absolutely the BEST EVER!!!! My children are picky at times and this was a hit for all of them. A little goes a long way! I like that we don't have to use it all at one time either. Not only that, but you can add bacon, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, or anything else you want to them and it makes a full meal. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I have braces on my teeth and I can make the soft enough to eat. As you can see I can't say enough good things about them!! If you love potatoes, go for it!! You won't regret it!!!!

Bring them back to the stores

These hashbrowns are perfect! Easy to make and portion. Come out perfect every time! Much better than the frozen version. They have been only available through shipping in my area for the past few weeks. Does this mean they will no longer be available in the stores? PLEASE bring them back!

best hash browns ever!

These are absolutely the best hash browns ever! Having the boxed dried potatoes saves room in the freezer and in just a few minutes they are rehydrated. I have used them in hashbrown casserole and they work wonderful. I have bought them time and time again.

Uncertain at first, but LOVED them!

I was real skeptical buying a huge carton of these potatoes, but after reading the reviews, I went for it! These are so convenient to have for a quick fix in the morning. They do only take minutes to reconstitute, but I?ve even tossed them with cold water and microwaved them for 30 seconds and they?re back to their fluffy potato state in that amount of time. I?ve only fried them, so I don?t know how well they hold up in soups and stews, but I?m sure we will try it soon enough. I doubt I ever buy frozen shreds ever again!

delicious & easy

These really are so easy. What’s even more is they’re delicious. Add a little dried chopped onion & garlic to the hydration process for more flavor. If you can manage to get them while they’re in stock, grab two boxes instead of one. They’re so easy, my kids can do it.

Excellent product and easy to use

I would occasionally buy the very small packages of these in the grocery store (which are overly expensive by comparison) .We would also sometimes go to the trouble of making them homemade with the salad shooter, which is messier and more time consuming, but good. I finally spotted these in the club, and am I glad I did. Far easier than homemade, and far less expensive than the small offerings in the grocery stores. And they are almost as tasty as homemade, particularly if you (as previously mentioned by others) add a teaspoon or two of the dehydrated onion to them while soaking, and then fry them in butter, spread, coconut or olive oil, and then just salt & pepper them to taste on your plate. Know what else they're good for? Make yourself a batch of sausage gravy and a batch of these, and put the gravy over the taters instead of biscuits, sprinkle with hot sauce (I use my homemade ghost pepper or brown maruga sauce) and chow down. Good stuff.

Fry up crispy or casserole

These are so convenient. Way better than using fresh potatoes that are soggy wet and turn color before you can get them cooked. I also make a hashbrowns casserole with sour cream, cheese, chives (all from Sam's) and a can of cream of chicken soup. To make them gluten free make your own cream chicken with Tones chicken base also sold at Sam's, and corn starch. I bake it, cool, cut into squares and freeze in the Hefty containers also from Sam's.
