It cleans my carpets really good. But on my first time using it water leaks out of the bottom. When I would have to empty the tank I would come back to a puddle of water. I even removed the water tanks to wash and dry them overnight and the machine was still leaking water out.,

I used this cleaner a couple times and all was well until I went to empty the dirty water and it dumped all over the floor. Upon inspection my husband realized the seal around the bottom of the dirty water tank was dirty. I had to suck up all the water out of a 700 sq ft room with the hand tool and it didn't get a quarter of the water up. Now my carpet smells like a wet dog because I couldn't get the water out properly. Returning this used product to Sam's today.

I bought this to replace my 15 year old Bissell carpet cleaner that wasn't so effective anymore. What I like about the new cleaner is the clean water and dirty water tanks are much easier to use than the old one. But the old one had a separate tank for the solution. This one has you mix the solution into the clean water; therefore, you cannot just do a clean water rinse at the end (to remove residue of the carpet cleaning solution) unless you dump the remaining mixed formula and fill the tank with clean water. The old one had a dial to switch to "Tools" when you wanted to use the tool feature. The new one does not. Attaching the tool hose is awkward and I couldn't get it to snap into place. I finally get it snapped into place, but now it has no suction nor will it spray water. After going through the instruction manual, an instructional tutorial, the tools still do not function. And while the hose is attached, the brush continues to spin. Doesn't seem like a good idea to have the unit in one place the brush spinning in place. On a good note, I did do one of the bedrooms with really bad "motorized wheelchair" stains, and it came out pretty good. Lastly, I threw the box away after I did the one room. Hope I can return it without the box!

I cannot get this to suck up water on a medium thickness carpet. Similar to other reviews. Have tried the troubleshooting "fixes" and a couple youtube videos. It just will not "go down" onto the carpet well enough to suck up unless one physically pushes down on it, but then that's not even a great strategy. I've happily had Bissell machines before, but not this one.

I've had this machine for a while now, and wanted to write a review. It is seriously one of the best purchases I've ever made. The machine itself is super easy to use, and works amazingly. We have cats and a dog. It cleans up #1 and #2 accidents so well! I also used it to clean an old mattress, and the seats in my Jeep. Love that it comes with so many bottles of cleaner too.

I feel the machine does an excellent job cleaning. It does a great job drawing water/cleaner out of your carpet. However my biggest gripe is that the tank capacities are way too small. I find that emptying the dirty tank so frequently is very frustrating. This machine replaced my old Hoover WidePath. So at least I have something to compare it to. IMHO, I feel the Bissel cleans better than the Hoover,but the Hoover offers larger capacity tanks. Also, Hoover's supply tank has a separate cleaning solution chamber which has two advantages. 1) the cleaning fluid is mixed with the fresh water and dispensed automatically. Thus no measuring required when filling the supply tank. 2) Since the supply tank has a clean water chamber, I was able to easily rinse the carpet. The clean water rinse leaves the carpet softer with no residue caused by the cleaning detergent. I found that feature is a huge plus! So the bottom line is Yes, I would recommend this machine but only if its to be used for very small areas.. If you want to clean a room or two, I'd go with the Hoover.

I purchased this yesterday. I wasn't sure what to expect for the low price. I assembled it, it was very easy to do. I first cleaned a light beige area rug. I was absolutely thrilled with the job it was doing. Auction is awesome!! On "deep clean", it dispenses more water, which my carpets totally needed. The return was very close to the amount dispensed. I read somewhere it leaves a lot of water in the carpet, I did NOT find that to be happening. It suctioned nearly all the water it dispensed. I am very pleased with this purchase. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is the dirty tank requires emptying 1/2 way through the clean water. It's ok tho, I can deal with that. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️&1/2 stars!!!

I would definitely recommend this machine. Out of the box it was easy to set up and came with the detergents needed to get started. I like the professional detergent bus as it seem to get the carpet cleaner than anything else so if you're going to buy extra I would definitely recommend buying more of that. Read the instructions pre-treatment is definitely necessary for the best results! Our carpets were a light almost white color with the typical foot traffic where the carpets were starting to show darker areas where they were clearly dirty. After using this machine those areas are now clean and we are very very impressed with the results! Not sure I understand the other negative reviews because we didn't have any trouble with this machine and would recommend it. We were on the fence as to whether to purchase it or not because of some of the negative reviews and I have to say that I am glad we move forward with purchasing anyway! The machine comes with some great tools to make cleaning upholstery or pet stains really easy. I used the pet attachment to clean the stairs which made that a whole lot easier because of the firm bristles. The motorized head on the main machine definitely does a nice job cleaning dirt and grime out of the carpet. Do note that this machine has a deep clean mode and an express mode which does make a difference on how much water the machine uses on the carpets. Expect that in the deep clean mode that you will need to allow time for your carpets to dry! Overall this is a solid machine and definitely worth the money that you'll invest into it highly recommended!

Throws dirty water and pet hair all over carpet as it does not suction it in the pick up tank. Then when going from carpet to floor to move to new area it threw out tons of dirty water and pet hair all over clean floor. What a MESS !!! more work then worth it
