This cleaner works well. The only downside is that I live in an area with very hard water so I use distilled water in appliances. If I don't the holes that dispelled the water get plugged. The cleaner calls for HOT water to be used so I have to heat the distilled water in the microwave before use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bissell ProHeat 2X really digs deep into the carpet to remove animal fur. I have a dog and 5 cats, and the first time I used the machine I was shocked by how much fur it brought up. Because of a lot of pets I vacuum almost daily, so all that fur really surprised me. In fact, I had to vacuum as soon as the carpet dried as there were little fur balls everywhere. The only negative is it is a rather heavy machine, but I can deal with that in order to have clean, fur-free carpets.

It made 15 year old carpets look like new again. Visiting folks have said there's no clue that I had 2 dogs and 2 cats! Worthy to own product!
