[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a complimentary sample of Caress Daily Silk Bar Soap in the scent White Peach & Orange Blossom, here’s my honest review. This soap lathers very well and leaves skin feeling moisturized and smooth. It feels great on the skin and is lightly scented, which to me is ideal because I prefer lightly fragranced or fragrance free products. The ingredients include peach and orange flower extract. This soap is very affordable so I would definitely buy this when choosing bar soap.

I’m in my mid 40s and have used Caress my entire life. My mom used it before me, my grandma used it before her, and I used it on my children. Our entire family has always used and loved Caress, it’s a staple in our homes and we have purchased many thousands of bars since we came to America in the 60s. I’m also autistic and it was one of my comfort products that always makes me feel calm and happy. So imagine my horror when I went to buy a new box only to find out my all-time favorite soap is now a completely different, far worse product. At first I thought the store was just out of the classic since the only Caress bars they had were in these new pink boxes next to an empty space. I went to a different store but same situation there. Huh… maybe the packaging just got a redesign? Nope- the wonderful soft scent that’s been a consistent part of my life since childhood has been replaced by something I can only compare to cheap gas station perfume. I cannot believe anyone thought this migraine-inducing stench was an improvement. I hate it so, so much. I can’t even describe how disappointed I am. I’m honestly devastated. Call me dramatic but I feel like crying knowing I might never get to enjoy my favorite scent again. I’m not the only angry customer either, not by far. It’s pretty telling that almost every positive review of the "new and improved" formula contains “this review was collected as part of a promotion”. You must be buying good reviews, cause all the others are full of complaints! You are going to lose a LOT of customers over this unless you listen to us and bring back the formula we actually like. I genuinely can’t understand why you’d RUIN your best product, seriously why? Every time a company reformulates a popular product, customers invariably hate it and quit buying it. This is New Coke, soap edition. STOP FIXING WHAT ISN'T BROKEN! Dove will be getting our money from now on.

I've been using Caress Daily Silk for my entire adult life-- what I loved about it was its subtle scent and the fact that my skin felt moisturized after drying off. I've tried the new formula for the past month (July 2024), and it is simply awful. The scent is a much stronger, more floral smell--which, frankly, I could put up with if my skin didn't feel like it'd been scrubbed with an abrasive pad. But there's no moisturizing quality to the new formula. And because of that, I have no choice but to change brands to something else. It's very sad when a company makes such a drastic change to their product that it alienates its most loyal customers. I really hope that Caress will listen to all this feedback (it's all over social media) and return to the previous, more successful Daily Silk formula. The sooner the better.

I have been using Caress for years and have loved it. However, the "new" formula is awful. It feels like wax and is no longer the smooth moisturizing soap I have been very happy with. I will never purchase this again. It actually feels like castile soap now, which is may very well be.

I’ve used Daily Silk for 30 years. I bought a new pack and when I used the first bar of soap it smelled different from the normal good smell. Left my body smelling like stinky perfume. I have allergies to perfumes amd this soap has never bothered me till now. I will be taking these back and want use again. Did caress change the smell? If so I want be able to use this soap again and after 30 years now I have to find another brand to buy.

The Caress brown sugar exfoliating body wash is an excellent addition to your shower routine. Not only does the brown sugar leave your skin feeling silky smooth and efficiently removes dead skin cells, it also leaves a delicious brown sugar smell on the skin. Definitely would recommend this product!

I am a Caress Soap Bar user for decades. I have been unable to find the peachy box that I am used to. Instead, I purchased the new pink box. I do not like the new formula at all. I find it drying to my skin whereas the original formula is more moisturizing for me. Please bring back the original.

I got the body wash to pair with it and y'all it leaves me smelling so good! It also has my skin feeling soft and Hydrated when I step out the shower.
