I have been using caress daily silk bar soap for over 15 years. This new formula is horrible. The smell and also the feel. It also makes me feel like I am going to get a UTI. I have looked everywhere for the original caress daily silk bar soap before it was changed. I am so disappointed. Please bring it back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Daily Silk Bar Soap. I am very picky to fragrances and don’t like some fruit scents, but the white peach & orange blossom scent is very pleasant. I used everyday and liked the way my skin felt after using the product.

I’m in my mid 40s and have used Caress my entire life. My mom used it before me, my grandma used it before her, and I used it on my children. Our entire family has always used and loved Caress, it’s a staple in our homes and we have purchased many thousands of bars since we came to America in the 60s. I’m also autistic and it was one of my comfort products that always makes me feel calm and happy. So imagine my horror when I went to buy a new box only to find out my all-time favorite soap is now a completely different, far worse product. At first I thought the store was just out of the classic since the only Caress bars they had were in these new pink boxes next to an empty space. I went to a different store but same situation there. Huh… maybe the packaging just got a redesign? Nope- the wonderful soft scent that’s been a consistent part of my life since childhood has been replaced by something I can only compare to cheap gas station perfume. I cannot believe anyone thought this migraine-inducing stench was an improvement. I hate it so, so much. I can’t even describe how disappointed I am. I’m honestly devastated. Call me dramatic but I feel like crying knowing I might never get to enjoy my favorite scent again. I’m not the only angry customer either, not by far. It’s pretty telling that almost every positive review of the "new and improved" formula contains “this review was collected as part of a promotion”. You must be buying good reviews, cause all the others are full of complaints! You are going to lose a LOT of customers over this unless you listen to us and bring back the formula we actually like. I genuinely can’t understand why you’d RUIN your best product, seriously why? Every time a company reformulates a popular product, customers invariably hate it and quit buying it. This is New Coke, soap edition. STOP FIXING WHAT ISN'T BROKEN! Dove will be getting our money from now on.

Smells good and it’s moisturizing! I have dry skin with a skin condition called tinea versiloca so when it comes to body/bar soaps I can only use moisturizing formulas. It’s affordable and I usually get this when I can’t find Dove at my local store or if I’m tight on budget.

I loved trying the bar, though ultimately I am sensitive to the scents (fragrance) used within. I wish we could find bars that are scented but don’t use the primary culprits causing allergies. Lather was great, packaging cute and attractive to the eye! I feel it was effective and allergens were only issue. Again thank you!! Still perfect for those less sensitive!

I love this bar soap I think this scent is so feminine and pretty! It is affordable and works great! My skin feels super hydrated and moisturized after using and not that sticky dry feeling I would definitely recommend this for someone that has normal to combination skin
