I have been using Caress bar soap for at least 40 years. I enjoyed the lightly fruity, lightly peachy scent. I recently restocked with a 16-pack from a club store and was nearly sickened when I opened the package. The new scent is overpowering, overly floral, and somewhat chemical. All the things I dislike about most scented products. I started to get a headache and felt mildly nauseated. Not the reaction I want from my soap! I gave it a fair shot and showered with it anyway - turns out the box smells worse than the soap, but the soap is no longer pleasant to me, and this unpleasantness clings to my skin and follows me throughout the day. If this is a supply chain issue, just make smaller batches rather than change the formula. I sincerely hope you change the formula back, but if not I must switch to a competitor's brand because I cannot live with this new scent.

This is amazing. First, the fragrance. Then, its cleansing power and the way it FINALLY got rid of the leg rashes I develop after using certain body washes. This is NOT a soap, it's a beauty bar. And my skin is loving it. I actually feel clean and soft after showering, and no more itchy skin! I don't know what I was reacting to (the rashes were horrible) but this saved me. I can also shave with it. I'm probably done with body washes and will stick with this line.

It leaves me feeling very relaxed and refreshed after every use. It is something that I would not mind using in my daily routine, even for my face, because it does not dry my skin out. The bars work up a very nice and foamy lather, that works perfect for cleansing my skin. I am also able to shave with the soap lather without any skin irritation whatsoever! I will definitely recommend these to all my friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used one bar for my showers and another to clean my makeup brushes. This brush has stubborn makeup that wouldn’t come out. And with this bar it came right out. The scent is so mild that I hope it doesn’t affect my brushes. So far I will continue to use it

I LOVED this! First of all it smelled amazzzing! I can't really describe the scent, but it left my hands smelling fresh, without being too overpowering. One thing I really hate about most soaps is this weird residue, but this one doesn't do that, it leaves your hands CLEAN! Totally recommend.

i used and loved caress bar soap for decades. then bought recently and used one bar in shower knew immediately something was wrong. it was super slippery once wet. but left a stripped feeling on my skin. unlike ever before. the smell was off as well to what i always knew. returned it to store mostly to let this company know what a mistake they made changing what was once super good product. i guess they cheapened out on ingredients to save their company money i returned to the store the twelve pack i bought minus one bar, since i used it.

My first impression of the soap was the floral scent. Very feminine. The bar also very smooth to the touch. Once you are using the soap you don’t smell it as strong and it’s just the perfect about of fragrance. The soap was soft and silky and made my skin feel clean and fresh afterward. A few hours later I still smelled fresh and my skin felt moisturized. I would recommend!
