This is not even close to the same soap they have been making for decades. This new formula is gritty, leaves a sticky, filmy feeling on your body, and causes breakouts on shoulders and back. It's also irritating to sensitive areas. This is clearly made with inferior ingredients. I'll never buy this again. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA.

I absolutely love this soap. It is so moisturizing and smells fantastic. The scent is a clean, fresh and light peach scent. It makes the bathroom smell fantastic too. The soap lathers up very well and rinses off perfectly without leaving any residue. I have even washed my bras with this because of the scent. I really love this and recommend this. It is also perfect for my sensitive skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received two bar soaps from @caress just by looking and smelling at the self part to even using them. I knew that these were going to be good all of the product line that caress offers always smell, so relaxing and delicious. and there is no surprise that once I started using it, my skin was soft hydrating and the bar is very solid but creamy and it does last a long time so it does not disintegrate right away. Everybody in my household really like the smell of it I’m glad that we received two Caress bar soap to try out. I can say that I will be switching over to Caress. It’s just so relaxing and the scent are everything in the hot shower.

I have used nothing but Caress bar soap for 50+ years. So sad you changed the formula/ingredients. The smell is not the same, but thats not the worst part… Instead of soapy suds, the bar creates a slimy lather and leaves weird wax-like film on my skin instead of feeling clean. Please bring back the original bar!!!! Until then, I cannot use the bar you currently market

You can never go wrong with having a bar soap at your left hand. Bar soaps last long and this one helps your body feel clean clean clean in the end. When used on the face it does help it feel like your pores opened but it can also have a dry feeling, but sometimes its good to feel it.

In my opinion it doesn’t smell like shea butter and brown sugar, it smells more musky and kind of more manly. There is a certain oil like product that smells like it but i do not remember the name. Either way this smells really good but it doesn’t really last on the skin that’s really the only negative. It also has exfoliating beads but they aren’t super harsh. I love this soap just wish the smell lasted longer.

Just used the ‘new’ formula soap. The scent is too strong and smells fake. It actually has a scent associated with inexpensive soap. I will not be using this soap and I’m so disappointed! I have been using and enjoying this soap exclusively for as far as I remember! Please reconsider and bring back the original scent.

I recently bought the new formula/scent and am not pleased with the change. I do not care for the scent, it's very different from the previous formula. I also find that it's very drying to the skin. I most likely will buy a different brand all together.

Honestly, I can take or leave the new scent; I'm certainly more used to the old scent, but the new one is fine, too. What I won't stand for, however, is that Caress seems to have taken this opportunity to reformulate a lot more than just the scent, and has majorly skimped on the moisturizer in this "new" formulation. I've been using Caress Daily Silk bar soap for more than 15 years, because it was one of the very few soaps I could find that didn't leave my skin dry and irritated after taking a shower. However, with this new formulation, my skin is noticeably dry and itchy after just a single use. I don't know if the aim was to avoid a price increase by cutting material costs or what, but the end result is a bar of soap that disparages the name Caress, as well as the loss of a loyal customer.

I have been a long -time user and admirer of this soap, however, in last year or so, the original formula has changed, and the new soap is completely different. When I wash, it feel like it is COMPLETELY removing all moisture from my skin, leaves it very rough. The old formula was much much better.. Sorry, Caress, you lost a customer.
