I've used Caress bar soap for decades. The old formula was so soft on my skin and left no residue. This new formula smells off and does not leave my skin soft or feeling clean. My skin feels tight and dry after using. The lather is also much less with the new formula. Please Bring Back the Old Caress we've loved for years!

Hello. My girlfriends and I were sitting around today discussing our favorite body washes, soaps, etc. I mentioned that I have used caress bar soap my entire life, ( I’m 55), until recently when they changed the scent. I HATE it! My girlfriends chimed in and agreed that we ALL can’t stand the “new” Caress scent. WHY would you change that luxurious smelling bar soap’s scent? It was perfect. I used to buy it 8-12 bars at a time. NOW I’m stuck with a backup supply of my favorite soap, ( or so I thought), that I can’t and won’t even use. Why didn’t you at least warn us on the packaging that it had changed. We HATE IT! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go back to the old scent so that ladies all over the world can enjoy our showers and baths in luxury the way we used to. We are begging you!!!

If you look closely, all those giving this nasty, sticky, smelly soap 5 stars are only doing so as part of a promotion! Do NOT be deceived!! I purchased this bar soap thinking only the packaging had changed, but they totally messed with the formula. This soap does NOT leave your skin feeling "silky." It leaves it feeling sticky and dry. It is just as bad as the Olay "Ultra Fresh" bar soap... Caress, you have lost a long time customer. And me and my family of 4 won't be the last ones you lose. You guys unnecessarily "fixed" something that clearly wasn't broken! GOODBYE CARESS!!

I have the best self care nights when my house is quiet. 💃🏽🙌🏽 A glass of red wine, my favorite pjs, a nice bubble bath with my Caress white peach & orange blossom soap (it smells so amazing and the lather is soooo good) omg, and layering my favorite perfume oil after my bath is soooo amazing. I can’t leave out doing my skincare routine and putting on my lip oil before bed. The Caress white peach and blossom left my skin feeling sooo soft and smelling good. This has been the best self care night! Always make time to love on you! 🥰😘

I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH THE UPDATE TO CARESS SOAP. MY FAMILY AND I HAVE BEEN A FAITHFUL CONSUMER OF THIS PRODUCT FOR 10+ YEARS. THE BAR SOAP SMELLS CHEAP AND LEAVES MY SKIN FEELING LIKE IT'S BEEN WASHED IN WAX. (FEELS LIKE CHEAP HOTEL SOAP!) THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PREVIOUS VERSION. WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER SOAP TO USE. CARESS, YOU HAVE LOST A FAITHFUL CONSUMER DUE TO SOMEONE MESSING WITH THE PREVIOUS FORMULA. IF I COULD LEAVE NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD.

I've been using Caress White Peach Daily silk bars since I could purchase my own soap as a teenager. I'd liked it before then, when visiting my grandma, and she had been using it since before I could remember. I enjoyed that it's scent was a light natural almost soothing fragrance. Not the chemically fruity, chemically floral, or baby powder smells usually relegated to women's soaps. I also loved that it left my skin feeling soft. Recently I've been having trouble finding it at my usual store. This last stretch of time, I couldn't find it for near a month. I finally saw it at my local grocery store, and scooped up a set. Almost missed it due to new color packaging going from a sedate peachy color, to very pink. Figured it was just a new printer ink being tried out. I finally went to use one for the first time today. To say I was unimpressed and unhappy would be an understatement. I finally noticed that the packaging stated "New Look & Refreshed Scent". Already a was a bit weary. As soon as I pulled one box from the cellophane the set of 6 was wrapped it, not even opening the box yet, the smell practically kicked me in the face. It was almost strong enough to set off my asthma. Powering through, I went about opening the box and placing it in the shower thinking a bit of water will help tone down the smell. What I didn't expect was orange inky dots and lines to show up on the bar once water hit it. Slightly disturbed, I continued on,using it as normal. The whole time, feeling a frown of disgust on my face. As soon as I rinsed it off I was even more upset. Instead of the soft silky smoothness I'd been accustomed to, now the after affect on my skin was of a waxy filmy touch. My beloved experience with my favorite soap has gone from lightly scented silky skin, which makes me happy. To being bombarded with the stench of overpowering chemically induced flowery bouquet, akin to that teenage boy body spray everyone hates, and having sticky waxy skin, which has made me unnervingly upset. My only course of action is to write a review here. Sadly understanding it won't make a difference, while knowing I'll never have that experience back. And, to go scavenger hunting for the 'old/original' boxes, until I have to admit defeat. Because I will absolutely never ever buy the "New" version ever again.

This Caress bar soap smells exactly like it did 15 years ago when I was a kid. It has a very nice scent. It cleanses without drying out my skin like other bar soaps but moisturizes well without being greasy or slimy like body wash. Plus, it is a girly color, which is silly, but I like it. I like the quality, quantity, and texture. It leaves my skin feeling soft, and Caress bar soap is my top choice. It leaves me feeling clean and soft.

This is my go to soap bar. I really Caress because it's cheaper than Dove, etc. It smells amazing and doesn't leave a soap scum feeling. A bar of soap last me 2 months. The smell is definitely my favorite thing about this soap. I have also used it to clean my makeup brushes in a pinch and it did such a good job.
