when I purchased this it had the original cover of the carafe that's what I wanted and ordered instead I ended up getting the new version I could just go to the store for that

To the Customer Service Team at Unilever, I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the recent formula change to the Caress Daily Silk bar soap. My family and I have been loyal customers for many years, relying on the original formula for its unique creaminess, superior glide, and skin-softening properties. However, the new version is of extremely poor quality. Since the change, the soap no longer glides on the skin, it causes significant dryness and irritation, and the overall experience is subpar. It is clear that the transition from a tallow-based formula to a palm-oil-based one has ruined what used to be a perfect product. I want to state clearly that I will no longer be purchasing Caress soap. Furthermore, I have no intention of replacing it with any other Unilever brand (such as Dove or Lever 2000), as I have lost trust in your company's commitment to quality. The only way I would ever consider returning to this brand is if you bring back the original "Daily Silk" formula and scent that we loved for decades. The soap foams up great on a loofah and is very durable to those that are rough on their bars. I love the ingredients are not like a foreign language and it is sensitive in skin types.

I've been using Caress for a long time. And I was used to its subtle, classy scent. Now, the new scent smells cheap, unpolished and artificial. It really is as strong as other customers suggest, and it's really unpleasant. I would love for the company to reconsider this. Otherwise, we should stick with Dove for the rest of our lives. The new scent smells like a spoiled caress scent.

Its moisturizing for a regular bar soap. I usually use a body wash and was surprised by the moisturizing benefits. It did not strip my skin dry as other bar soaps would. I would recommend this to someone looking for a feminine scented bar soap for springtime. This pairs nicely with floral perfumes in my collection. Dear Caress Team, I am writing as a lifelong customer of your Original Scent bar soap. I have used this soap since I was a little girl. The scent is deeply nostalgic for me and reminds me of my grandmother, who used Caress long before I was born. My grandmother has since passed, and in a very real and personal way, that familiar scent brought me comfort. It was one of the small, meaningful connections I still had to her. For my family and me, this was never just soap, it was part of our memories and traditions. Recently, I searched several stores trying to find the Original Scent, only to discover that the formula has changed. Unfortunately, the scent is no longer the same, and the texture feels different as well. The soap now leaves a sticky feeling when rinsing, which I do not enjoy at all. I understand that companies evolve products over time, but this change has been truly heartbreaking for me. My family and I have been loyal customers for many years, and I wanted you to know how much the original formula meant to us. If there is any possibility of bringing back the original scent and formula even as a limited or “classic” edition I know there are many longtime customers who would deeply appreciate it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay.. usually I’m not a huge fan of bar soaps, like at all.. usually they dry out my skin and don’t smell great. Well, this soap proved only half that to be true. I want to start off with the positives. This bar soap suds up beautifully on a loofa and is a pretty good quality. I did notice my skin to feel softer and more moisturized afterwards. I especially like using this as a lather when I’m shaving my legs. Now for the negative. These are more of a personal preference. I am not a big fan of the scent. I tend to go sweet/warm and this is not that. Overall, I think this is a great option for a bar soap and I would recommend it. Maybe just buy in store so you can do a sniff test and make sure it’s right for you.

I have used the original Caress Daily Silk scent since I can remember. The new, updated version came out, and I absolutley hate it. I have gone to great lengths to find the original everywhere I can, and the options are almost nonexistent now. Caress, you can keep your new scent, but please bring back the original scent for those of us who loved it. The new scent does not smell fresh and clean to me, and the soap does not lather nearly as well.

NEW SCENT I have been using Caress Bar Soap and have used it for many years. The new scent is terrible. As another commentor mentioned its so bad and overpowering they had to throw it away. Well so did I, unfortunately i purchased 4 x 16 bar packages, so 64 bars into garbage. Could not return them. Please bring back the original formula.
