We have well water and a water softener however the water is still rusty. We love Morton Rust Pellets because they keep our water free from rust. Can not recommend it highly enough when needed

If you live in an area like mine, this is not optional. It is mandatory. After ruining my 1st water softener 20 years ago with only 5ish years of service, my plumber showed and explained the problem to me and told me to always use a red out or rust out salt. I'm happy to say this salt has kept my softener clean and working with normal maintenance. Although I do also clean the resin with a red out res cleaner, it alone couldn't keep my softener working the last 2 decades. Can not recommend it highly enough when needed
