This is the best item for use in our water softener. 40 lb bags are manageable for me to carry. Wife and I are disabled. Paulette our delivery person even took them from her vehicle into the garage and down the stairs into the cellar! I definitely hope to have her again for delivery!

Not much to say about water softener pellets...you only notice them when they aren't doing their job properly. I've been using Morton brand enhanced (i.e. Rust Defense) pellets for 20ish years. Have never had an issue with them. They have always worked well with my Culligan softening system. Walmart has the best available price. Beats the other big box stores by a couple of bucks per bag.

My water feels noticeably softer, and the added rust defense is helpful for protecting fixtures and appliances. The bag is easy to handle, and the product offers good value for the price.
