Cooking Instructions

Roasting (For Slices)

1. Prep: Pat roast dry; season well.

2. Roast: Place in a roasting pan in a 300-325°F (150-160°C) oven.

3. Cook: Cook until a meat thermometer reads 130-140°F (54-60°C) for a juicy medium-rare to medium.

4. Rest & Slice: Tent with foil and let rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.

Pot Roast (For Braising)

1. Prep: Sear all sides of the roast in a hot pan.

2. Braise: Place in a pot with liquid (e.g., beef broth, water) to half-cover. Cover and bake at 300-325°F (150-160°C) for 2.5 - 3.5 hours until the meat is fork-tender.

3. Rest: Remove from pot and let rest 10-15 minutes before shredding or slicing.

Prep Time: 20 minutes (plus 1 hour for roast to reach room temp) / Cook Time: 1.5 - 2 hours

Ingredients

• 1 ct. Member’s Mark USDA Choice Angus Beef Boneless Sirloin Tip Roast

Seasoned Butter:

• 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
• 1 tblsp Garlic Powder
• 1 tblsp Dried Thyme or Rosemary
• 1 tsp Black Pepper
• 2 tsp Salt

Vegetables:

• 1.5 lbs. Russet Potatoes, cut into 2-inch chunks
• 1 lb. Carrots, peeled and cut into 2-inch chunks
• 1 large Yellow Onion, cut into wedges
• 2 tblsp Olive Oil

Directions

1. Prep & Sear: Let roast sit for one hour. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Coat roast with seasoned butter and place it on top of oiled vegetables in a roasting pan.

2. Roast & Finish: Roast uncovered for 15-20 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C), cover, and cook until a meat thermometer reads 10°F (5°C) below your desired doneness.

3. Rest & Serve: Remove from the oven and let rest, still covered, for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
