El Mexicano Pork Chorizo is a spicy, traditional Mexican sausage made with a blend of herbs and spices. It tastes&nbsp;outstanding with scrambled eggs or diced potatoes. The robust flavor will give your burrito and taco recipes authentic flavor. <h3>Loaded Potato Skins with Chorizo Recipe (Recipe courtesy of El Mexicano) - Serves 4-6</h3> Ingredients: 3&nbsp;extra large Russet Potatoes 5 oz&nbsp;Queso Oaxaca, shredded 9 oz&nbsp;Pork or Beef Chorizo&nbsp;El Mexicano 1 cup&nbsp;Crema Oaxaqueña or Mexicana&nbsp;El Mexicano Chives, finely chopped 1/2&nbsp;Jalapeño, sliced thin 1/2&nbsp;Tomato, diced 1/2&nbsp;Avocado, diced Preparation Method: 1. Bake the potatoes, with the skin on, until they are tender. Cut them in half length-wise and scoop out most of the inside. Set aside. 2. Cook and drain chorizo, set aside. Line a baking sheet with foil and place the potato halves on it. One of the best pork chorizos available in non-specialty markets. My only concern is that each link is about 12 oz and my recipes typically call for 16 oz. Not a big deal since the entire package is 3lbs, so you just need to divvy up one of the links.

I haven't purchased El Mexicano pork chorizo in about three years because it wasn't good compared to our  local meat market. My wife and I decided to give it another try. We forgot how bad it was. It smells bad, it's rubbery, and very chewy. That's a bad sign.

The chorizo was very mushy. I also prefer beef.

Awful! Too greasy and salty. Wound up throwing away.

Terrible

The marinade is good, but it has a lot of fat balls that take a long time to cook and hardly has meat, and in the end it tasted like raw pork.

Not for me

Must have changed the recipe. Don't buy. Shrinkflation. Tons of nerve and fat. Plenty of spices. Smells good. Cooking for half hour to mix with beans. This is not the same chorizo. Fatty, knarly, nervy, and not buying this one anymore.
