I’m a long consumer of Vital Proteins Collagen and love it. This time I wanted to try Sports Research which is a very good brand as well. I like that it dissolves quickly in my morning coffee and no aftertaste. Can’t tell about its effects on the body because I just started taking it.

It’s good!!

I'm sure the collagen works great but it alters the flavor of your drink. I suggest drinking it with orange juice or some other tart beverages (definitely not coffee) or chugging it down with water.

Makes your drink taste sour

I used to order directly from Sports Research and decided to try this one instead. Taste was definitely off compared to the original. Tried it for a couple days but had to return it.

Bad Taste

I wish I had listened to the reviews that mentioned the sour taste. I thought it wouldn’t bother me, I typically put it in my hot tea or coffee. But I can’t get past the flavor and smell of it, definitely an odd/sour twist. I’m a long time user of Vital Proteins but trying to find an alternate, and this isn’t it.

Decided to try this as a change. So disappointed! Added to my morning coffee and it made it taste sour/salty. Horrible unexpected flavor. Going to return and buy my usual Vital Proteins.

Don’t waste your money

Tastes awful.  I have used Vital Proteins for years, which blends into my coffee with no taste.  I tried this one on sale, and it tasted terrible.  Had to pour out my coffee. Was refunded.
